Role Description

The Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Compliance Manager to help guide the company&rsquo;s export compliance program and assist with governmental contracting. The Compliance Manager will be responsible for managing Lynx&rsquo;s compliance with governmental regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). The Compliance Manager will work closely with the legal team and cross functional teams to ensure operational compliance to support the Lynx&rsquo;s growth aligned to our strategic goals in a highly regulated environment. 
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Implement and administer Lynx&rsquo;s export compliance program, including developing and implementing training programs policies, and reporting procedures.</li><li>
Conduct and manage third-party risk management, including ongoing monitoring of third-party relationships.</li><li>
Develop and maintain policy for handling of controlled unclassified information (CUI).</li><li>
Support negotiation of governmental contracts, including review of FAR/DFARS.</li><li>
Enter contract data into appropriate forms and databases. Check existence, accuracy, and completeness of electronic documents related to contracts.</li><li>
Review federal solicitations, requests for information and proposals, and identify business risks, documents the findings, and provides recommendations.</li><li>

This position requires regular collaborations with the GUPD, Office of Public Safety staff, General Counsel, and engagement with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders across Georgetown University. The Compliance Manager works closely with key university officers and departments, including the Office of Student Conduct, Title IX Office, Office of Compliance and Ethics, Office for Equal Opportunity Compliance, Internal Audit Department, and the Fire Safety Team, to ensure effective training, accurate data collection, and compliance meets the requirements under the Jeanne Clery Act and accreditation guidelines.
The Compliance Manager will lead cross-functional collaboration with GUPD and collaborative partners to develop, review, and ensure the timely publication, and distribution of the Annual Safety Report. This position maintains regular interaction with the Vice President for Public Safety. This position works in coordination with the Office of Public Safety to support institution-wide compliance efforts.
This role requires consistent coordination with stakeholders across multiple campuses, which include Main Campus, Medical Campus, Capitol Campus and other Georgetown-owned or controlled properties domestically and internationally, to ensure comprehensive compliance with the Clery Act and Accreditation guidelines.
Requirements and Oualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or another related field.</li><li>
Five to Eight years of experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, or related area. Each year of relevant experience may be substituted for 1 year of the education requirement.</li><li>
Experience as an Accreditation Manager, e.g., CALEA, IACLEA with the ability to complete on-site assessments, as required.</li><li>
Familiarity with a variety of security and law enforcement concepts, practices, and procedures, such as criminal law and the laws and regulations associated with the Clery Act, Department of Education mandates, ICLEA Accreditation and related federal, local laws and regulations, including FERPA, the Violence Against</li><li>
Women Act (V AWA), and CALEA Accreditation requirements are required</li><li>
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills</li><li>
Well-developed skills in collecting, organizing, manipulating, and analyzing various types of data and information using computer software applications, and databases.</li><li>
Demonstrate organizational skills and attention to details</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>
Advanced degree in Communications, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Law or related field</li><li>
Relevant work experience at or with an institution of higher education</li><li>
A minimum of five years of direct experience managing a Clery Act compliance program, including experience with drafting the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report and classifying Clery crimes and disciplinary referrals</li><li>

Experience with police or public safety records management systems</li><li>
Experience in preparing and delivering instructional and training materials</li><li>
Experience in project management</li><li>
Experience in working with on campus hospitals and medical centers</li><li>

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$66,783.00 - $126,720.23
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate&rsquo;s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University&rsquo;s business needs and external factors.

The successful candidate for this position will play a critical role in supporting and overseeing the compliance program for an SEC‑registered investment adviser and affiliated registered investment companies. Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Investment Adviser &amp; Investment Company Compliance</li><li>
Provide day‑to‑day compliance support for an SEC‑registered investment adviser, including interpretation and application of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and related SEC rules.</li><li>
Support compliance oversight for registered investment companies, including mutual funds or similar products, in coordination with internal stakeholders and service providers.</li><li>
Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and controls designed to meet evolving regulatory expectations.</li><li>
Review and approve marketing, advertising, and communications materials in accordance with the SEC Investment Adviser Marketing Rule and applicable FINRA standards.</li><li>
Partner closely with marketing, legal, and business teams to ensure communications are accurate, balanced, and compliant while supporting business objectives.</li><li>
Maintain documentation and records supporting marketing review and approval processes, including substantiation and required disclosures.</li><li>
Translate complex regulatory concepts into clear, practical guidance for business partners and senior leadership.</li><li>
Monitor regulatory developments and assist in assessing their impact on policies, procedures, and business practices.</li><li>
Support compliance testing, certifications, and periodic reviews.</li><li>

Basic Qualifications 
<ul><li>Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience</li><li>Typically more than six years of applicable experience</li></ul></div><ul><li>Series 6 or Series 7 at minimum, and ideally Series 24 and/or Series 26 (or willingness to obtain)</li></ul>
