Role Overview:<ul><li>
Execute the design of parts in technology demonstrator programs using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements</li><li>
Right size design efforts via working closely with CEO to meet tight deadlines while satisfying key requirements</li><li>
Work closely/efficiently with global teams performing module and component level design adhering to business standards, practices, procedures and product/program requirements</li><li>
Work closely with manufacturing teams to design producible parts, understand procurement schedule and provide inputs as necessary on time</li><li>
Contribute and adhere to daily management routine, standard work towards meeting team KPIs</li><li>
Develop a project plan establishing work packages, milestones, objectives in accordance with program schedule, manage deliverables according to the up-to-date plan</li><li>
Document lessons learned and ensure continuous improvement</li></ul>
The Ideal Candidate:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s in Engineering; strong analytical/problem-solving; proficient in modern CAD/CAE tools (e.g., UG NX, ANSYS) with sound engineering judgment per GE Aerospace Design Practices; excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication; proven accountability in tight schedules; able to guide and influence others to meet program goals.</li></ul>
Required Qualifications:<ul><li>
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college</li><li>
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills</li><li>
At least 3 years of experience in mechanical component design engineering</li><li>

 Perform component level design assessments for assigned hardware (with guidance of experienced engineers when needed) in accordance to the required Design Practices for Aircraft Engines and Gas Turbines. (e.g Combustor, Compressor, High Pressure Turbine, Low Pressure Turbine and Fan hardware including blades, vanes, cases, frames, disks, seals and shafts)
 </li>
 <li>
 Work with suppliers to resolve manufacturing relevant problems and engage/lead identified improvements for fielded products.
 </li>
 <li>
 Understand and evaluate the overall effects of engine operations on the hardware, such as thermal effects, vibratory, maneuver and limit loads.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support design reviews at several stages of design and redesigns.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct stress and life analyses in support of engine certifications and qualifications, design optimization to meet life goals and test capability assessment of engine hardware.
 </li>
 <li>
 Understand and evaluate Federal Aviation Authority requirements when an engine component is redesigned.
 </li>
 <li>
 Mentoring less experienced engineers in design analysis and hardware procurement.
 </li>
 <li>
 Document technical data generated by assigned projects consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
