This position will serve as a senior computational scientist responsible for the analysis, integration, and interpretation of large-scale single-cell, multiomic, and genomic datasets generated by the laboratory. The individual will play a central role in transforming raw sequencing data into biologically interpretable models of human brain development and neuropsychiatric disease. The role includes end-to-end ownership of computational workflows spanning raw sequencing processing, genotype-based demultiplexing, single-cell and spatial transcriptomic analysis, and multiomic data integration. The scientist will lead the development and maintenance of reproducible analysis pipelines and will be responsible for ensuring consistency across large, heterogeneous datasets derived from multiple genetic and pharmacologic disease models.
A major component of the position involves integrating diverse datasets&mdash;including scRNA-seq, snATAC-seq, multiome, and spatial transcriptomics&mdash;with human fetal and postmortem reference atlases to define conserved and disease-specific cell states. The individual will also contribute to the identification of regulatory programs and candidate signaling pathways for experimental validation in organoid systems. This role requires close collaboration with experimental scientists to iteratively refine hypotheses, prioritize perturbation targets, and guide experimental design based on computational findings.

Responsibilities
Data Processing &amp; Infrastructure<ul><li>
Process raw sequencing data (FASTQ), including alignment and quantification for single-cell and single-nucleus assays</li><li>

The Computational Hydrology and Atmospheric Science (CHAS) Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate in the areas of Hydrological and Earth System Modeling and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The successful candidate will have a strong background in computational science, data analysis, and process-based modeling of hydrological and Earth system processes. The CHAS group conducts world-class research in hydrological and Earth system modeling, large-scale data analytics and machine learning (ML), and data-model integration, leveraging the U.S. Department of Energy&rsquo;s (DOE) Leadership-Class Computing Facilities to advance predictive understanding of complex environmental systems. 
Major Duties/Responsibilities:<ul><li>

High Performance Computing (HPC) Subject Matter Expert (SME) 
 
Support mission-critical initiatives and enable the growth of our business as a HPC SME at GDIT. Here, you&rsquo;ll become an integral part of how GDIT is able to ensure the safety and security of our nation.
GDIT is seeking a dynamic HPC expert to provide data analysis and expert recommendations to advance utilization of HPC resources. You will be supporting the DoD High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP). As an HPC SME, you will join a team of innovative and savvy engineers and computational scientists. We focus on building collaborative relationships with the HPC community to better understand customer technology needs and challenges. Our team of computational scientists help solve the HPC challenges for DoD scientists and engineers across the Army, Navy and Air Force.
The HPCMP PET team was created to provide expert computational support for users of the supercomputing systems within the DoD. This position serves as a customer-facing presence for the DoD science and technology community, providing SME advice for new initiatives, ongoing projects, and support needs.
The position is remote with occasional travel for meetings. However, you must be available during the core hours in the Eastern Time Zone. 
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT<ul><li>
Provide in-depth technical analysis on the progress of DoD HPCMP High Priority Projects.</li><li>
Provide specialized technical subject matter expertise as a member of the New User Support Team</li><li>
Provide the analysis of technical merit and mission impact of new projects each year.</li><li>
Ensuring all published documentation regarding RM is timely and accurate, and make changes as needed on a regular basis.</li><li>
Support the HPCMP by understanding and documenting user requirements and user experiences on DSRC systems.</li><li>
Observe, devise, maintain, and recommend performance metrics necessary to gain better for technology forecasting, pIE modernization, benchmarking, or the current needs of the program.</li><li>
Provide expert advice on the development and analysis of system metrics such as measuring impact, tracking benchmarking and computer speed, over and above the current metrics which include utilization, throughput, and expansion factor.</li><li>
Provide assistance to the Chief Technology Officer to support the Technology Forecast effort.</li><li>
Act as facilitator between High Performance Computing Advisory Panel members and the HPCMP RM Associate Director as they renew and request new projects</li></ul>

 The Center for Technology, Economics, and Development (CTED) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications from individuals to be appointed as a Junior Research Scientist (AI-Blockchain Project) for a one-year period, with the possibility of renewal conditional on excellent performance.
 
 
 The Junior Research Scientist (AI-Blockchain Research) will support advanced, quantitatively intensive research at CTED with a primary focus on artificial intelligence, machine learning, mathematical modeling, and computational analysis. The Junior Research Scientist will play a central role in supporting research design, algorithmic development, data analysis, and coding tasks across CTED&rsquo;s interdisciplinary projects. Working under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), Dr. Yaw Nyarko, and Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI), Dr. Ra&scaron;a Karapand&zcaron;a, the Junior Research Scientist will contribute to AI-driven and blockchain-enabled research related to commodities markets and economic development. The role requires strong foundations in mathematics and computer science, including statistical learning, optimization, simulation, and algorithmic reasoning. The successful candidate will use programming and computational tools (including Python, MATLAB, and related libraries) to develop, test, and evaluate machine learning models; review, proofread, and execute formal mathematical proofs; implement optimization and simulation-based methods; and analyze large and complex datasets. Responsibilities include supporting experimental and field-based research, preparing literature reviews, translating complex AI and mathematical findings into clear written outputs, and contributing to research reports, concept notes, and academic publications.
 
 
 Candidates must hold a Master&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or a related field (e.g., Economics with a strong mathematics background). and have less than five years of relevant research experience; or hold a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a relevant field with any level of research experience. Applicants must have extensive coding experience, and preferably, applicants will have experience conducting field research in emerging countries and working on randomized controlled trials (RCTs). Applicants with experience working in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and/or MATLAB, a strong interest in economic and quantitative research and the willingness to learn about the blockchain, are encouraged to apply. Experience in web development, blockchain, commodities markets, and technology and economic development will be considered a plus. The successful candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment, working autonomously, but as a team member under the direction of the Principal Investigator.
