Technical Trainer-Student Information Systems 
Mission:
The mission of the Information Systems (SIS) and Technical Trainer is to ensure the best onboarding and professional development experience for our campus-based and regional roles. They are responsible for designing and delivering effective onboarding training programs for all SIS Coordinators, and Registrars, to be productive in their roles quickly. Given the rapid growth of IDEA Public School District, our internal pipeline is incredibly important to maintain quality and compliance. Onboarding and technical trainers provide training, mentoring, and support services to ensure that all SIS team members have the resources needed to succeed in their role and grow within the organization. They lead the design and execution of training and development for staff from the point of their initial hire and on a continuous, ongoing basis.

This is a full-time hybrid (remote/on-site) position based in Texas, with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate.

What You&rsquo;ll Do &ndash; Accountabilities
Essential Duties:
<ul><li>Design and implement training programs to ensure a smooth initial hire period of new Information Systems regional and campus-based team members.
</li><li>Develop and implement operating mechanism to increase team inclusion and collaboration, streamline communication among different departments and lead the team to work more efficiently and strategically.
</li><li>Holds self and team accountable to the highest expectations of Instructional Design, Customer Service and Knowledge Management
</li><li>Implement a training program for campus SIS Coordinators and Registrars to drive their campus toward 95% of official attendance taking time teachers take attendance in the student information system daily.
</li><li>Design and content creation experience using Microsoft applications, Adobe Professional Suite, SharePoint, video editing, and screen capture software
</li><li>Standardize and reduce the variance of SIS Coordinators and Registrars experiences across the organization by ensuring clear expectations, providing adequate resources and support, and holding managers accountable to ensure effective and equitable outcomes for all.
</li><li>Celebrate and recognize team members by creating a culture of joy and building team camaraderie.

<ul><li>Support the adoption of standards for support documentation across SIS team departments.

Additional Skills:
<ul><li>Bilingual (English and strong proficiency in Spanish) preferred
</li><li>Exceptional technical writing, presentation, and oral communication skills
</li><li>Training design methodologies
</li><li>Ability to design and deliver eLearning, instructor-led and blended learning curriculum
</li><li>Superior written and verbal communications skills
</li><li>Able to quickly learn new systems and techniques
</li><li>Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. 
</li></ul>Required Education and Experience:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from four-year college or university
</li><li>At least 3 years of new hire instructional design or technical training experience
</li><li>Previous experience working with content development &amp; learning management systems
</li><li>Design and content creation experience
</li><li>A minimum of three years in student information systems or similar role with a record of results 
</li></ul>Preferred Education and Experience:
<ul><li>1 year of onboarding HR experience strongly preferred
</li><li>Design and content creation experience using Microsoft applications, Adobe Professional Suite, SharePoint, video editing, and screen capture software 
</li></ul>Physical Requirements:
<ul><li>Ability to sit for extended periods.
</li><li>Ability to lift and carry items.
</li><li>Ability to type, write, and travel.
</li><li>Ability to visually focus on a computer screen for prolonged periods.</li></ul>

Compensation &amp; Benefits:
Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $58,400 and $67,200, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment.
