<ul><li>Architect, deploy, and maintain edge computing and storage infrastructure across more than 20 global edge sites.</li><li>Design and implement secure VPN connectivity linking edge sites to a centralized multi-site compute and storage hub.</li><li>Manage and optimize storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and other relevant storage solutions.</li><li>Configure and maintain networking and server hardware and software in both Windows and Linux environments.</li><li>Collaborate with and direct cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams to ensure consistent implementation and maintenance of edge sites.</li><li>Oversee the management of over 10TB of binary data generated annually per site, totaling approximately 200TB of raw binary data across all sites.</li><li>Support the integration and operation of locally developed software tools used for aircraft data analytics.</li><li>Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python and PowerShell to streamline deployment, monitoring, and maintenance tasks.</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve business processes, advance technical capabilities, and reduce required chargeable hours.</li><li>Develop and present business proposals based on identified opportunities to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.</li><li>Develop acquisition and spending plans to support infrastructure growth, maintenance, and technology upgrades.</li><li>Ensure data integrity, security, and availability across all storage and compute resources.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage, networking, and server issues.</li><li>Provide support outside of regular business hours as required to maintain system availability and performance.</li><li>Document architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.</li></ul>
 
Required Skills: 
<ul><li>BS Degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.</li><li>At least nine years of experience in designing and maintaining a secure, resilient and stable distributed environment consisting of 20+ sites.</li><li>Proven experience with storage technologies (SAN, NAS, object storage, etc.).</li><li>Strong knowledge of networking concepts and secure VPN implementation.</li><li>Experience with server configuration and management in both Windows and Linux environments.</li><li>Willingness and ability to provide support outside of normal business hours as needed.</li><li>Proficiency in Python and PowerShell scripting for development and maintenance of automation tools.</li><li>Experience developing acquisition and spending plans aligned with business and technical objectives.</li><li>Familiarity with edge computing architectures and distributed storage systems.</li><li>Excellent communication and documentation skills.</li><li>Experience in aerospace or data analytics domains.</li></ul>
 
Preferred Skills:
