 WSP is currently initiating a search for a Construction Inspector to help oversee road, bridge or associated construction with construction values ranging from $1-$50 million. This position can be based out of Portland, Augusta or Eliot, ME, or Merrimack, NH .

 The inspector depending on experience will oversee various work elements from excavation, backfilling, compaction, cast-in-place concrete from formwork to reinforcement, installation of precast elements, bridge seats, bearings and joints, bridge rail, drainage, paving and other incidental items. The inspector will report to the Resident Engineer, or their designee.

Overview:

TRC is currently seeking experienced Construction Inspectors to support our team in the Northern CA area. This role will focus on all aspects of required field and office construction work, including but not limited to, inspection of non-structural and structural construction operations, inspection of traffic control system compliance, CCO preparation and analysis, CPM scheduling analysis, and SWPPP enforcement.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Provide daily inspections and complete documentation including daily reports documenting contractor labor, equipment, daily construction progress, project site visitors, non-conforming work, safety issues, traffic control, field measured quantiles, field discussions with the contractor and public, and daily project photographs, etc.</li><li>
Coordinate with clients/owners, other consultants, contractors, materials testers and others involved with the project.</li><li>
Assist Resident Engineers and provide input on project schedule, extra work bills, potential change orders, and communication with businesses and residents.</li><li>
Read and interpret project plans and specifications.</li><li>
Monitor construction for compliance with project documents including collecting and checking material tags and certificates of compliance.</li><li>
Measure, calculate, and document quantities of installed materials in accordance with client policies and procedures.</li><li>
Inspect road and bridge construction (based on Caltrans Standards), including checking grades, formwork, rebar placement, concrete batch tickets, curing method, etc.</li><li>
Communicate with project team members and provide recommendations.</li><li>

Qualifications:

2-year associate's degree in relevant area is a plus.</li><li>
