<p>Essential Functions</p>
<ul><li>Assist with project controls, change orders, RFI&rsquo;s, and other construction administration duties.</li>
<li>Prepare look-ahead schedules with information from subcontractors.</li>
<li>Assist in the generation of various reports, such as submittal and RFI logs, and with document control.</li>
<li>Process Submittals and RFIs.</li>
<li>Update working drawings with RFIs and Changes. Keep this set up to date to ensure the team is working with the most current information.</li>
<li>Perform simple calculations.</li>
<li>Provide technical support for the construction effort.</li>
<li>Contact vendors for information.</li>
<li>Comply with company policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Work in a manner to ensure your personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies.</li>
</ul>
<p>Basic Qualifications</p>
<ul><li>In progress toward earning a Bachelor's degree in <b>Construction Management</b>, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related degree.</li>
<li>Interest in a career in heavy construction.</li>
<li>Experienced with the complete Microsoft Office Suite, excellent writing and communications skills.</li>
<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal abilities for working in diverse team environments with staff, clients, and stakeholders.</li>
<li>Experience with/aptitude for construction and/or mechanical processes.</li>
</ul>
<p>Preferred Qualifications</p>
<ul><li>Prior internship experience in the heavy construction industry.</li>

<p>Compenstation</p>
<ul><li>Project mobility is offered within a defined home-to-project range.</li>

Under the supervision of experienced PE's and certified staff, the intern will assist in lab testing for both construction materials and geotechnical classification testing. Hands-on training will be provided. The intern will prepare daily reports and data sheets and may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor.</p><br>

</b></p><p>Hill International&rsquo;s Internship Program offers college students hands-on experience supporting real construction projects. Interns will work alongside experienced project and construction managers, participate in site visits, and gain exposure to scheduling, cost controls, and project coordination. Disciplines may include one or a combination of document control, project reporting and/or project tracking.
