We are entering a significant growth phase &mdash; five multifamily projects totaling approximately 60,000 SF are breaking ground this Spring&mdash; and we are building the team to match.This is a ground-floor opportunity for an experienced superintendent who wants real ownership of the field, direct access to ownership, and a long-term home as the company scales. Broadbridge is the owner/developer for all of its projects and performs all of its construction management in-house, providing the opportunity for a dedicated and effective site supervisor to focus on completing projects efficiently and at a high quality, rather than interfacing with 3rd party clients.The RoleThe Site Superintendent is the primary field leader for 2&ndash;3 active multifamily projects simultaneously. You own the site &mdash; schedule, subcontractor coordination, quality, and safety &mdash; and serve as the day-to-day point of contact for trades, inspectors, and project managers. This is not a hybrid office role. You are on the ground, running the field, and accountable for on-time, on-budget delivery.As our first dedicated superintendent hire, you will also help establish the field systems, standards, and processes that future hires will follow. The right person will grow into a senior field leadership role as we scale.Core ResponsibilitiesSchedule &amp; Sequencing<ul><li>Own and maintain the project schedule in Buildertrend and for all assigned projects</li><li>Develop and issue weekly look-ahead schedules; coordinate sub sequencing to prevent gaps and conflicts</li><li>Proactively identify schedule risks and escalate with proposed solutions</li></ul>Subcontractor Management<ul><li>Direct day-to-day coordination of all trades on site</li><li>Manage sub mobilization, handoffs between trades, and punch-list completion</li><li>Hold subs accountable to scope, schedule, and quality standards</li><li>Build and maintain strong trade partner relationships that support repeat project work</li></ul>Quality &amp; Inspections<ul><li>Execute phase-gate quality checklists at each construction milestone (foundation, framing, rough MEP, insulation/drywall, finishes)</li><li>Coordinate and attend all municipal and third-party inspections</li><li>Identify and resolve field issues and conflicts with architects, engineers, and PMs</li></ul>Documentation &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Complete daily logs in Buildertrend every working day: weather, crews, work completed, open issues, photos</li><li>Log all RFIs, open items, and field questions in Buildertrend with assigned owners and due dates</li><li>Support draw request documentation and lender site visits</li></ul>Safety<ul><li>Enforce OSHA standards and company safety protocols on all sites</li><li>Conduct weekly site safety reviews and maintain incident-free project records</li></ul>What We're Looking ForRequired<ul><li>7+ years of field construction experience, with at least 4 years as a superintendent</li><li>Demonstrated multifamily residential experience (10+ unit ground-up construction)</li><li>Ability to read and interpret full construction document sets independently</li><li>Deep familiarity with Cambridge and Greater Boston's permitting, inspection, and code environment</li><li>Strong subcontractor management skills &mdash; you know how to get the best out of trades without burning relationships</li><li>Experience with construction management software (Buildertrend, Procore, or equivalent)</li><li>Valid MA driver's license and reliable transportation</li><li>Extremely organized with high attention to detail</li><li>Ability to lift +/- 50 pounds</li><li>Ability to commute to job sites within 50 miles of Boston.</li></ul>Strongly Preferred<ul><li>Experience working for a developer-builder or owner-builder (not just a GC subcontracting to owners)</li><li>OSHA 30 certification</li><li>Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (CSL) &mdash; unrestricted</li><li>History of managing multiple simultaneous projects or project phases</li></ul>Who You Are<ul><li>A builder, not a paper-pusher &mdash; you are most comfortable and most effective on the ground</li><li>Organized and consistent &mdash; your daily logs, look-ahead schedules, and checklists are always current</li><li>Direct and accountable &mdash; you escalate issues early, own mistakes, and solve problems without drama</li><li>Extremely detail-oriented &ndash; you want to make sure work is completed at a high standard.</li><li>A culture-builder &mdash; you want to help establish how a growing company operates in the field, not just execute a playbook someone else wrote</li></ul>Compensation &amp; BenefitsWe believe in paying fairly for talent and providing the tools to do the job right.
