Job Description 
Position Overview: Versant, an industry-leading news, sports and entertainment media business that provides content through a portfolio of iconic television networks (MSNBC, CNBC, USA Network, Golf Channel, E!, SYFY and Oxygen) and complementary digital assets (Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow and SportsEngine), is seeking a Research Analyst who is energized by the idea of contributing to the growth of a new company within a fast-paced media landscape.
This position reports to the Director of Consumer Insights and, in collaboration with members of the broader Content and Audience Analytics team, will play a pivotal role in developing a deep understanding of viewership and audience trends and consumers&rsquo; perceptions and attitudes towards Versant portfolio brands.
The Research Analyst will build a wide array of research skills and capabilities. They will support primary research studies, including surveys, focus groups, dial tests, and data analysis, while also contributing to regular reporting of cross-platform audience metrics in collaboration with the Program Research team.
The ideal candidate for this role is someone who loves tackling tough questions, has a passion for consumer insights, TV/video content, and the media industry, and is motivated to juggle many projects and priorities.
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Collaborate with the broader Consumer Insights team to support ongoing research needs and custom research studies from strategy through execution, including the management of viewer panels, content research, and ad-hoc studies</li><li>
Assist in designing, fielding, and analyzing the results of primary research studies</li><li>
Collect, analyze, and interpret viewership data for recurring reports and ad hoc requests</li><li>

Qualifications 
Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (preferably in business, communications, marketing, social sciences, or a related field)</li><li>
Demonstrated enthusiasm for audience research</li><li>
1+ year experience - whether professional or academic - with quantitative and qualitative research, including survey design and analysis, focus groups, etc.</li><li>
Ability to learn various tools and interfaces for conducting research (programming surveys, analyzing data) and visualizing results</li><li>
Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills</li><li>
Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li><li>
