Position Summary

The Storytelling &amp; Content Lead plays a central role in capturing and translating the work of the Social Justice Learning Institute (SJLI) into compelling narratives that elevate community voice, youth leadership, health in the built environment and the organization&rsquo;s impact. Working closely with program teams, youth participants, and community partners, the Storytelling &amp; Content Lead identifies meaningful moments across SJLI&rsquo;s initiatives and develops authentic stories that illustrate the organization&rsquo;s mission and impact. This role is responsible for producing written and multimedia content that supports organizational storytelling, communications campaigns, and public engagement.

 As a senior leader operating at the intersection of advanced AI technology and programmatic advertising, you will translate complex data science concepts into clear, compelling content that engages advertisers, agencies, publishers, and technology partners. You will own the full content lifecycle from ideation to distribution, while partnering closely with Product Marketing, PR, Sales, Technical teams, and executive leadership to ensure alignment and impact across the organization. You will manage a small scale high performing team. Deliverables will depend on your storytelling skills and ability to project manage creation of snackable quick visual bites of insights (charts, infographics, etc), as well as shorter reports.

 Build and lead a high-performing content engine, our editorial newsroom, leveraging Samba&rsquo;s cross-screen media intelligence.

 Drive a focused content strategy aligned with launches, GTM priorities, and audience needs.

 Produce high-impact, multi-format content (reports, visuals, articles, social, case studies, videos, enablement).

 Translate complex data and AI/ML concepts into clear, snackable narratives.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Create repeatable storytelling frameworks around cross-screen insights, measurement, AI audiences, and ad effectiveness.

 Own the content calendar end-to-end for timely, high-quality output.
 </li>

 Collaborate with data science, product, and engineering for accuracy and clarity.

 Ensure narrative consistency across touchpoints and develop strong customer stories that demonstrate ROI.

 Manage and optimize distribution across LinkedIn, X, and other channels.

 Collaborate with Digital Marketing to support GEO, SEO, SEM, and paid promotion.

 Who You Are

 7-10+ years in content marketing; bonus if in ad tech, martech, data platforms, or SaaS.

 Comfortable and excited about creating content topics around AI/ML, data science, predictive analytics, and AI-driven marketing.

 <li>
 
 Hands-on use of AI tools (e.g., GPT, Claude, autonomous agents, orchestration frameworks).
 
 </li>
 
 <li>
 
 Can work independently driving projects end-to-end, while also managing a team of high - performers.
 
 </li>
 
 <li>
 
 Exceptional writer/storyteller able to simplify technical concepts for varied audiences.

 Full-stack creator for visual form content, long-form reports, and social posts

 Samba expects to offer a base salary between $170,000 - $180,000 per year for roles to be performed in New York or California; actual base salary offered will depend on various factors, including but not limited to, location, experience, and performance. Base salary is just one component of Samba&rsquo;s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include bonuses, short-term incentives, and long-term incentives.
