 The compensation for this position ranges from&nbsp;$75,000 - $80,000 annually. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate&rsquo;s relevant skills and experience. Generating posts for our Substack is also a component of this role.About the RoleThe Copy Chief maintains the consistency and voice of our e-commerce listings and plays a central role in shaping how our instruments are presented globally. This is both a strategic and hands-on role: generating unique copy, utilizing our extensive archive, overseeing output from our other staff copywriters, and meeting daily publishing goals without sacrificing quality.You&rsquo;ll collaborate closely with our Photo and Service departments, ensuring that every instrument is accurately represented&mdash;visually, technically, and tonally.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead and maintain the editorial voice and standards across all e-commerce platforms</li><li>Write, edit, and approve high-quality product listings at scale</li><li>Ensure accuracy and consistency in instrument descriptions, specs, and condition reporting</li><li>Manage daily copy output and workflows to meet publishing targets and deadlines</li><li>Evaluate instruments for both tonal and aesthetic qualities, translating them into compelling, informative copy</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with Photography and Service teams to align on product presentation</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve templates, processes, and overall content quality</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Deep knowledge of electric and acoustic guitars; broad familiarity with vintage and modern gear</li><li>Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a sharp eye for detail and tone</li><li>Experience leading or mentoring editorial workflows (formal or informal)</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills; able to balance quality with production demands</li><li>Clear, collaborative communicator comfortable working across departments</li><li>Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and content systems</li><li>Experience with product photography or photo editing is a plus</li></ul>HoursOur shop hours are Tuesday- Saturday, 10:30-6:30 and workdays and hours will be within the same period.
