Essential Functions:<ul><li>Proofread layouts at various stages of job process for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand standards; check and approve digital printer proofs</li><li>Execute edits to copy documents and upload and maintain versions within project management system at multiple stages of the job process</li><li>Interpret strategic briefs for promotional campaigns and brainstorm with Senior Copywriter to produce original concept copy</li><li>Support Senior Copywriter as needed in producing original content that adheres to the company&rsquo;s style guidelines for a range of corporate marketing materials (including but not limited to print, web, mobile, video and social media)</li><li>Develop an understanding of the different language styles and strategies that appeal to the brand&rsquo;s various target markets</li><li>Develop an understanding of the legal guidelines involved with a franchise business to minimize revisions and help to ensure compliant messaging</li><li>Maintain a clear and consistent brand voice</li><li>Serve as occasional backup for Traffic Manager to help maintain workflow and project deadlines</li></ul> 
Education, Experience and Skills Required:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in journalism, English, communications, or related discipline</li><li>Minimum 1-3 years professional copywriting experience with samples of work</li><li>Exceptional proofreading and editing skills (proofreading assessment required)</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision</li><li>Ability to work within and consistently meet deadlines</li><li>Demonstrates openness to feedback and the ability to incorporate direction effectively into work output</li><li>Detail-oriented and highly organized.</li><li>Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously</li><li>Effective interpersonal and written communication skills</li><li>Mac experience is strongly preferred, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro, as well as project management programs (e.g., Wrike or similar platforms).</li></ul>
