The Opportunity
Aspire Software is seeking a Corporate Development Associate to join our M&amp;A team and help drive the sourcing of new acquisition opportunities.
This role sits at the front line of Aspire Software&rsquo;s acquisition strategy, focused on identifying and building relationships with founders, software operators, brokers, and advisors. You will play a critical role in originating new acquisition opportunities, maintaining a strong pipeline of targets, and supporting the early evaluation of potential investments.
This position combines business development, market research, and financial literacy. It is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with founders, researching new industries, and contributing to a fast-paced acquisition environment.
What You Will Do
Market Mapping &amp; Research<ul><li>
Conduct detailed research on vertical market software companies, potential add-on opportunities, and adjacent markets.</li><li>
Build and continuously refresh target lists using public and proprietary sources.</li><li>
Track industry developments including acquisition activity, leadership changes, and emerging market trends.</li></ul>
Deal Sourcing &amp; Outreach<ul><li>
Execute proactive multi-channel outreach campaigns (email, LinkedIn, calls, events) to engage founders and executives.</li><li>
Identify and qualify new acquisition opportunities aligned with Aspire Software&rsquo;s investment criteria.</li><li>
Maintain a steady pipeline of qualified acquisition targets.</li></ul>
Relationship Development<ul><li>
Build trusted relationships with founders, entrepreneurs, advisors, and intermediaries across the software ecosystem.</li><li>
Conduct introductory conversations with potential sellers to understand their businesses and strategic goals.</li><li>
Maintain ongoing engagement with prospects to ensure opportunities progress through the deal pipeline.</li></ul>
Pipeline &amp; Opportunity Management<ul><li>
Maintain accurate deal records and pipeline reporting in CRM systems.</li><li>
Track outreach activity, meeting outcomes, and pipeline health.</li><li>
Collaborate with the Corporate Development and M&amp;A teams to advance qualified opportunities.</li></ul>

This position is an individual contributor. This analyst position is responsible for supporting functions of Corporate Development, Alternative Investments, Credit Risk Transfer and Investor Relations. Responsibilities 
The primary responsibility of this position is to directly support the mission of Mayo Clinic Business Development through post-deal compliance activities related to Business Development&rsquo;s portfolio of active agreements. The Associate will serve as an individual contributor responsible for interpreting, tracking and supporting enforcement of contractual obligations, monitoring partner performance, coordinating internal stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to financial and operational terms. This role includes maintaining compliance documentation, supporting reporting and audit activities, identifying and escalating risks, and assisting in the resolution of compliance issues. The Associate will be expected to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and to organize and manage work accordingly.
Business Development is organized around three functional Work Units. This Associate role is part of the Commercialization Work Unit and will work collaboratively with colleagues in all three Work Units:<div><ul><li> 
Commercialization - Evaluate the commercial potential of a variety of medical inventions and discoveries coming from Mayo's clinical and research activities, developing and implementing technology sales and marketing plans, managing the patent process, identifying potential commercial partners, negotiating license agreements and other commercialization arrangements, managing relationships with industry and advising Mayo physicians and scientists regarding protection of intellectual property and technology-based business matters.</li><li>Technology Development - Identify, evaluate, and support the development and protection of new technologies and intellectual property arising from Mayo Clinic&rsquo;s research and clinical activities.</li><li>Partnerships - Source, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities for Mayo Clinic, including partnerships, collaborations and other strategic transactions.</li></ul></div> 
This role is not remote relative to location, with an expectation that the incumbent will live within reasonable driving distance of a Mayo Clinic campus, and will be able to be on campus &ndash; on average &ndash; two to three days per week. Qualifications 
Qualifications<ul><li>
