JOB PURPOSE</h1>
WC &amp; Safety, Sr. HR Business Partner is responsible for the organization&rsquo;s workers&rsquo; compensation day to day tasks and assisting with company safety programs. Assists with corporate safety and health program initiatives and objectives and assists with monitoring workers&rsquo; compensation, safety, and health regulations. Provides technical support to PDC and corporate personnel to ensure compliance with federal and state WC, safety, and health regulations. This position requires that incumbent must also exhibit ethical behavior as stewards of the organization. Travel may be required.
<h1 class="jobSectionHeader">KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES</h1>
<ul><li>Administers Company Workers&rsquo; Compensation claims from report to resolution ensuring compliance with states/ federal laws and company policies. Act as a liaison between injured employees, location management, medical providers, and insurers to facilitate treatment and prompt return-to-work. Act as the main point of contact for location personnel, insurance carrier, and legal teams to ensure timely communication and reporting. (25%)</li><li>
Reviews injury/illness and non-injury incident investigation reports and follows up as necessary for compliance. Provides additional training as necessary. (20%)</li><li>
Maintains OSHA 300 logs, 301 Forms, and ensures relevant documentation is maintained. Files required state and federal documentation, and adheres to legal regulations by state (15%).</li><li>
Analyze claims data to identify trends, develop injury prevention strategies and training, and audit claims to ensure adequate handling and risk mitigation. (10%)</li><li>
Assist in administering Company Safety training, Safety and health Program, Safety Rewards program, and reinforce IIPP at Corporate level. Contributes to develop Company-wide safety Training Programs and Standards; (20%)
</li><li>Facilitates compliance and regulatory matters such as: Safety &amp; WC Audits, OSHA compliance mandatory training, Reporting and responding to external agencies. (10%)</li></ul>

Provide quarterly results and statistics to stakeholders</li><li>
Benchmark best/most effective safety processes/procedures/programs to improve safety program.</li><li>
Assist with location safety audits, make recommendations for improvement and ensure improvements are implemented.</li><li>
Training of facility managers, supervisors, and Safety specialists in safety related topics and workers&rsquo; compensation.

Work with HR Field business partners as necessary on safety &amp; WC investigations and safety improvement</li><li>
Work with Safety specialists to ensure adequate support to all locations and compliance is maintained.</li><li>
Provide coaching and consulting as necessary to Managers, Supervisors, HR Field BPs, and Safety Lean specialists</li><li>
Workers&rsquo; Compensation Administration &ndash; manage process with WC Insurance provider and within the organization</li><li>
Work with WC carrier, broker, and Loss control to identify gaps in company safety and health programs and policies</li><li>
Handle yearly renewals for workers&rsquo; compensation, crime, and EPL insurance</li><li>
Handle Foreign Liability Insurance renewal</li><li>
Handle Yearly Workers&rsquo; Compensation Audits</li><li>
Handle Workers&rsquo; Compensation compliance reporting as necessary as required by state</li><li>
Participates in new product/process reviews, including job hazard analysis, operator training, etc.</li><li>
Supports PDC personnel in selection of appropriate personal protective equipment.</li><li>
Maintain corporate safety library (videos, regulations, reference manuals, training) and ensures proper maintenance in our EHS System.</li><li>
Assist with developing safety training as necessary due to operational changes or governmental updates</li><li>
Maintain on-going communication of safety program and preparation of reports</li><li>
Advises PDC&rsquo;s/ Corporate staff of regulatory changes with which the PDC/Corp. team must comply. Sufficient advance notice should be provided so that compliance on the effective date of new regulations is ensured.</li><li>
Be proactive in looking for ways to reduce injuries and WC costs. Work with Workers&rsquo; Compensation brokers to maximize service</li><li>
Ensure that safety meeting minutes are being collected from all locations, reviewed, and ensure continuous improvement. Oversee that weekly Safety team meeting minutes are being maintained.</li><li>
Assist in maintaining and updating Company Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) as necessary.</li><li>
Assist with reporting to Korea HQ, MPA report, loss-time injuries/illnesses</li><li>
Facilitate corporate training programs, such as Safety, IIPP and Emergency &amp; Evacuation Plans.</li><li>

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $117334 - $217023 annually.

Position Summary 
 
Plan and conduct multiple, medium-to-large, critical projects and programs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local safety and health statutes and regulations. Required to lead important safety and health related investigations requiring the application of improvement technology concepts and new approaches in the field. Responsible to recognize, monitor and make recommendations to ensure workplace safety hazards are corrected through audits, ergonomic assessments and interventions ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agencies rules. This role will be required to work occasional weekends and evenings. 
 
Essential Responsibilities<ul><li>
Develop, implement and evaluate the employee safety program in partnership with management. Responsibilities include recognition, evaluation and recommendations for minimizing employee injuries/illnesses through hazard identification, accident investigation, ergonomic assessments and review of accident history.</li><li>
Provide technical consulting services which include recognition, evaluation and recommendations designed to minimize deficiencies and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.</li><li>
Engage and influence management to help develop their responsibility and leadership in safety in their locations. Assist site management with contractor safety questions and compliance paper work. Work with contractor safety consultant during overhaul/projects to ensure alignment and consistency in safe work expectations for work teams.</li><li>
Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local safety and health rules and regulations which impact the business units. Author and communicate Company safety and health policies based on those rules and regulations.</li><li>
Develop training lesson plan content and provide regulatory compliance training to personnel for new hire safety orientations and annual OSHA required training.</li><li>
Act as the lead in safety and health audits and deliver feedback to business unit management on their accident elimination programs and regulatory compliance.</li><li>
Maintain professional expertise by attending professional development conferences and maintain all professional certifications. Participate on internal or external task force committees related to new regulatory compliance or continuous improvement in safety. Maintain a working knowledge of current safety regulations and serves as a resource to management and employees on interpretation and compliance.</li></ul> 
Minimum Requirements<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related discipline or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge required.</li><li>
Recognized safety certification required.</li><li>
Certified Safety Professional designation (BCSP) preferred.</li><li>
Five years of work experience within the safety field.</li></ul>

This is a strategic leadership role, not a site-only execution position.
