A Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, in a behavioral health field, as defined by the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) required. Related education or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.</li><li>
Six (6) months of experience providing substance abuse treatment required, preferably in criminal justice or related area.</li><li>
A certified Addictions Specialist (CAS), is required. A Master's degree in a related field and experience providing substance use treatment services may substitute for CAS.</li><li>
Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire is required.</li><li>
Possession of Adult First Aid, AED, and CPR certifications within six (6) months of hire, is required.</li></ul><b>
Correctional Addictions Therapist II</b><ul><li>
A master's degree in a license-eligible behavioral health field as defined by the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) required.</li><li>
One (1) year of experience providing substance abuse and mental health treatment is required, preferably in criminal justice or related area.</li><li>
A certified Addictions Specialist (CAS) or Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) is required.</li><li>
Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire is required.</li><li>

In order to qualify for the level II, candidates will need to have a Master's Degree in a license-eligible behavioral health field as defined by the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), one year of experience providing substance abuse and mental health treatment, and either Certified Addictions Specialist (CAS) or Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) certification.<br>
