GENERAL DESCRIPTION:</b></p><p>
Responsible for evaluating CHRA (Comprehensive Health Risk Assessment) forms received from Classicare policyholders and coding the documented clinical information according to the guidelines established by the Unit.
</p><p><b>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</b></p><ul><li>Performs coding of diagnoses documented in the CHRA (Comprehensive Health Risk Assessment) and registers the data into the appropriate application. Identifies and informs the Supervisor about areas of opportunity to avoid errors that reduce rejected data and may represent a risk to compliance with established coding guidelines.</li><li>Works on post-payment audits of adjudicated claims based on the information contained in the Comprehensive Health Risk Assessment comparing it to the information required, following the operational guidelines established by the unit.</li><li>Generates referrals throughthe electronic app used in the Unit with providers and/or billing representatives, related to CHRA document management, to guide them and/or request correction of medical diagnoses due to incorrect coding, and inadequate, ambiguous, or incomplete medical documentation.</li><li>Process adjustments received for corrections in the CHRA, following the established operational guidance.</li><li>Identifies claims that require the support of the Claims and/or Providers department to be processed.</li><li>Provides weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to the supervisor on audits performed as required.</li><li>Must comply fully and consistently with all company policies and procedures, with local and federal laws as well as with the regulations applicable to our Industry, to maintain appropriate business and employment practices.</li><li>May carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned, according to the requirements of education and experience contained in this document.</li></ul><p><b>
Minimum Qualifications:</b></p><p><b>
Education and Experience: </b>Two (2) years of college education equivalent to sixty (60) approved credits from an accredited university or an Associate degree. At least one (1) year of medical billing experience with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.</p><p><b>
OR</b></p><p><b>
Education and Experience:</b> Associate Degree in Health Information Management Technology from an accredited university. At least six (6) months of experience performing clinical billing and coding processes.</p><p><b>
&ldquo;Proven experience may be replaced by previously established requirements.&rdquo;</b></p><p><b>
Certifications / Licenses:</b> A valid Medical Billing Certification and/or ICD-9, ICD-10, and/or other health-related Certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities - What you&rsquo;ll do
<p>This is a mid-level employee responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled maintenance work in the alteration, maintenance, and repair of state facilities. Employees work in a variety of trade areas such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, concrete and masonry, painting, plastering, and mechanical repair. Employee may also oversee offender workers engaged in maintenance tasks and receives supervision from a designated supervisor.</p>
<p>Employee performs routine maintenance:

<li>Patch plastering walls</li>
<li>Carpentry work on such items as furniture, doors, windows, shelves, and floors</li>
<li>Plumbing work such as unstopping toilets and drains Replacing faucets/valves/washers

<li>Limited repairs of electrical motors/generators/communication equipment.</li>

The Specialty Court Counselor I/II provides clinical services for Harris County Community Supervision and Corrections Department. The Specialty Court Counselor will provide services to criminal justice involved individuals including completion of intake assessments, treatment planning, progress reports, treatment plan reviews, and discharge summaries. The Specialty Court Counselor will also complete concise and timely documentation of all clinically related duties and work with the Specialty Court interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure client needs are addressed.<br>

Attend weekly or bi-weekly staffings with CSCD court team (CSOs, Program Manager, CSO Supervisor, Counselor Supervisor, etc.).</li><li>

Attend Court staffings for assigned dockets/courts.</li><li>
Attend Court reviews with clients present for assigned dockets/courts.</li><li>

<p><b>The annual salary listed for this position includes the additional $0.75 per hour maximum security stipend ($1,560 anually) for full-time positions domiciled in a maximum security institution.

</p>Responsibilities - What you&rsquo;ll do
<ul><li>Maintains security in buildings/towers/other posts of an adult correctional facility; intervenes during emergencies or altercations and gains physical control of offenders</li>
<li>Supervises movement of offenders inside/outside the correctional facility; conducts periodic counts of offenders; searches offenders and their living quarters for contraband; Escorts/transports offenders to predetermined locations</li>
<li>Supervises offenders: in housing units; during the performance of work activities; during recreational/ religious activities</li>
<li>Conducts inspections for health and safety hazards; prepares/submits reports on offender violations of divisional or correctional facility rules/unusual offender behaviors/observed mechanical deficiencies/ security breaches or failures</li>
<li>Discusses minor adjustment problems with offenders; refers serious problems to proper correctional facility staff; promotes rehabilitation by attempting to modify offender&rsquo;s social attitudes/discouraging undesirable behaviors/encouraging worthwhile activities</li>
<li>Supervises visits with offenders; searches visitors/offenders/buildings/grounds for contraband</li>
<li>Performs work in accordance with established rules/regulations/post orders/specific instructions; receives general administrative direction</li>
<li>Performs other related work as assigned</li>

<p><b>Minimum Qualifications:
</b></p><p>Must be 18 years of age or older.</p>
<p><b>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:</b></p>
<div><ul><li>Ability to pass a background investigation administered by the Missouri Department of Corrections.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ability to complete Defensive Tactics and Standard First Aid\CPR training during Basic Training administered by the Missouri Department of Corrections.</li></ul>
</div><p><b>By assignment, a position may require:</b></p>
<div><ul><li>Ability to complete and maintain firearms certification training administered by the Missouri Department of Corrections.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Possession of a valid vehicle operator's license.</li></ul>

<p>Contingent upon your position, you may also be eligible to receive:</p>
<ul><li>A $2.00 per hour shift differential if you are assigned to a shift that begins on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am and are employed at a 24/7 congregate care facility (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center).</li>
<li>A $1.00 per hour restrictive housing stipend if you are assigned a regular post within a restrict housing/segregation unit at any facility.</li>
</ul><p>The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years!
