Warehouse Coordinator is primarily responsible for managing the operations that are critical to the development of large multi-faceted themed events. They ensure the elements are completed in accordance with established policies and procedures. This includes oversight of all the related project functions, including but not limited to support in costume presets, documentation of inventory, and warehouse management.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Provides work direction to Costume Warehouse Leads and Attendants. Responsible for updating schedules, call-ins, and daily timecard flashes for warehouse team members in Kronos. Communicates with management regarding staffing needs. Monitors compliance of current company and depart policies and procedures, scheduling compliance courses as needed. Communicates performance, behavior standards, and expectations; provides feedback for recognition and performance improvement to management. Upholds warehouse standard procedures which include but are not limited to; non-disclosure form adherence to all new visitors to the warehouse.</li>
<li>Responsible for ensuring that all marquee, special event, and park costume presets leaving the warehouse are complete with all necessary pieces and of show quality for fittings and operations. This includes guiding and checking presets completed by leads, attendants, and specialists, and communicating any issues to management. Oversees warehouse strike and restocking of costumes after events close.</li>
<li>Responsible for costume warehouse inventory, including tracking, maintaining and recording stock locations, quantity and quality. Maintains and updates necessary reports, tracking and documentation for the needs or replacements at the warehouse. Aids in the receiving of new inventory and costume pieces via tracking spreadsheet. Completes costume releases documenting goods and quantities of goods sent for park and event operations.</li>
<li>Organize the training of new and current warehouse team members. Ensure trainer is identified and that training is being delivered per Standard Operating Procedure.</li>
<li>Driving all types of vehicles, including but not limited to Mini-Vans, Cargo Vans, 15 passenger vans and Box Trucks.</li>

 The Office of Public Affairs at Rice University is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient temporary 
 Production Designer 
 to support our Creative Services team. This is a part-time, project-based role focused on the high-level execution of brand assets, digital content, and print collateral.

 Hiring Range: 
 This is a temporary, non-benefits eligible, non-exempt hourly position. 
 $35-$38 per hour based on experience 

 Minimum Requirements: 
 <ul><li>Technical Mastery: 
 Expert-level proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.</li> 
<li>
 Production Logic: 
 Deep understanding of print production processes, including paper stocks, binding, and file preparation.</li> 
<li>
 Organization: 
 Proven ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple moving parts simultaneously.</li> 
<li>
 Communication: 
 Strong interpersonal skills to consult with campus partners and explain technical requirements to non-designers.</li></ul> 

 Preferences: 

<ul> <li>Experience working within a higher education or large-scale institutional brand.</li> 
<li>
 Background in managing vendor relationships and reviewing press proofs.</li> 
<li>
 Experience creating user-friendly templates for non-designers in Canva.</li></ul> 

 Essential Functions: 
 Core Responsibilities 
 
In this role, you will manage a steady flow of diverse projects, ranging from brand identity maintenance to high-stakes production management. 
 
 
Design &amp; Brand Identity 
<ul>
<li> Identity Systems: 
 Design and typeset official &quot;lockup&quot; logos for schools, research institutes, and various campus partners, ensuring strict adherence to University brand standards.</li> 
<li>
 Digital Assets: 
 Execute technical production for social media graphics, email headers, and web banners for the Public Affairs teams.</li> 
<li>
 Print Collateral: 
 Prepare print-ready files for brochures, posters, event invitations, and environmental signage, ensuring correct color profiles, bleeds, and resolution.</li> 
<li>
 Quality Control: 
 Perform rigorous pre-flighting on all files to catch errors before they go to press or go live.</li> 
</ul>
 Additional Creative Support 
<ul>
<li> Template Creation: 
 Develop easy-to-use Canva or Adobe Express templates for campus partners to empower them to create brand-aligned content.</li> 
<li>
 Photo Manipulation: 
 Perform basic photo retouching, cropping, and color correction for use across University news platforms.</li> 
<li>
 Accessibility Compliance: 
 Ensure all digital designs meet ADA/WCAG accessibility standards (e.g., proper contrast ratios and alt-text preparation).</li>
