SUMMARY
T he Courier delivers various kinds of documents, packages, and messages between offices or departments. This position also travels to off-site locations when necessary to complete assigned deliveries.
JOB FUNCTIONS

The Walla Walla Clinic offers the following benefits:
<ul><li>Insurances: Employees consistently working 30 or more hours per week are eligible for medical, dental, vision, hospital confinement, life, disability insurances after satisfying the waiting period.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Retirement: Voluntary contributions to the 401k and/or Roth plans after first of the quarter following hire date. The Clinic matches up to 5% of eligible salary after one year of employment and a minimum 1,000 hours of service.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Time Off Benefit: Paid Time Off (PTO): Full-time and part-time (part-time is prorated) employees will begin accruing upon hire date. Waiting period of 90 days. PTO amounts for 40-hour employees are 23 days (184 hours). Maximum annual carryover of 240 hours.</li></ul>

WA Paid Sick Leave: All employees accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked. Waiting period of 90 days. Maximum rollover is 40 hours per year.

Scheduling:<ul><li>
Follows assigned Courier Schedule in a timely manner. Exceeds: Volunteers for extra unplanned emergency courier runs when needed.</li><li>
Assists in updating courier schedule as needed. Exceeds: Helps Facility manager by suggesting ways to accommodate new additional deliveries into the courier schedules.</li><li>
Maintains required paperwork logs and transactions.</li><li>
Maintains all Preventative maintenance Work Orders as assigned.</li><li>
Responsible for transport and delivery of all bank bags.</li></ul>
Transportation:<ul><li>
Ensures safe operation of vehicle of vehicle before start of deliveries.</li><li>
Follows all NYS vehicle traffic laws and safety precautions. Exceeds: No traffic violations issued during evaluation year.</li><li>
Courteous to other vehicles on the road and no valid complaints issued for aggressive driving or vehicle operation.</li><li>
Keeps vehicle clean during and after hours of operation. Washes vehicle with supplied vouchers when needed.</li><li>
Follows good personal hygiene and grooming practices. Exceeds: Always wears proper uniform as designated.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul> 
Required Skills and Experience:<ul><li>
Education - High School Diploma / GED</li><li>

Physical Requirements:<ul><li>
This position requires the ability to lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds. The courier is responsible for loading and unloading items into the vehicle which include but not limited to boxes, equipment, supplies, and food. Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time while driving.</li></ul>
