This position also serves as a structured developmental pathway to Certified Court Reporter.</p><p>The successful candidate will be required to obtain certification as a Court Reporter within thirty-six (36) months of the date of hire. During the certification period, the employee will perform Court Technologist duties and may assist with transcription and court reporting functions. Functions as Courtroom Clerk for civil traffic and protective order cases. Assists other Court staff with work duties and completes other tasks as assigned.</li><li>
Complies with the Arizona Code of Conduct for Judicial Employees.</li><li>
Completes Committee on Judicial Education and Training (COJET) hours as required by the Arizona Supreme Court.</li></ul><p><b><br>
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</b></p><ul><li>
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written communication.</li><li>
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.</li><li>
Ability to effectively use personal computer hardware and software to the extent necessary to complete job functions.</li><li>
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.</li><li>
Ability to learn court policies and procedures.</li><li>
Ability to use complex computer record keeping systems</li><li>
Skill in preparing, maintaining, and filing records, documents, letters and report</li><li>
Knowledge of customer service techniques and methods</li><li>
Knowledge of Town and Department policies and procedures</li><li>
Ability to organize work, set priorities, meet critical deadlines and follow up on work assignments with minimal supervision.</li></ul></div><p></p>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><ul><li>A High School diploma or GED.</li><li>
Two (2) years&rsquo; experience in an office or business setting.</li><li>
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.</li></ul><p><b><br>
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</b></p><br>
<ul><li>
Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.</li><li>
One (1) year experience in a judicial or legal setting.</li></ul></div><br>
