After the implementation of each Wellness Court, the Court Administrator will be responsible for many of the administrative activities required for the court to function.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

3. Receives, prepares, verifies and processes documents including routine correspondence and legal documents; copies forms and other materials; may process and create new cases; manage high-level cases; may schedule hearings; and ensures case information is properly entered into the court’s official record. May generate reports.
 
4. Serves as a liaison between prosecutors, attorneys, Judges, witnesses, victims, granting and law enforcement agencies, and other County departments. May serve as court administrator on behalf of the courts.
 
5. Maintains confidentiality of cases. Determines action to be taken to comply with statues and court orders. Processes time sensitive documents in accordance with all applicable County, State and Federal statutes.
 
6. Utilizes expertise to perform quality assurance of documents; scans and indexes documents into case management system.
 
7. Provides individual training to clerical staff on computer systems, work processes, statutes, procedures and assists on the more complex issues.

Education and experience equivalent to an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in job related field of study. One (1) year experience.

Spanish language skills are a plus.EMPLOYMENT STANDARDSEducation, Training and Experience: High school diploma or GED, and prior municipal court experience is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organization skills and attention to detail; the ability to accurately convey information to others and to keep accurate and organized records. Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Incode. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with e-mail, and any other functions deemed necessary by management.Knowledge of: Court Administration, general municipal court and office procedures, and City administration policies. Customer service principles, protocols and methods.Ability to: Work independently and as a team member, maintaining composure and confidentiality, and working effectively in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities. Understanding, and applying relevant laws, rules, ordinances, codes, and regulations.Licenses and Certificates: Valid Texas Driver&rsquo;s License. Must obtain Municipal Court Clerk Certification, Level I within 18 months of hire date. Ability to obtain Notary Public certificate within the first year of employment.
