The Court coordinator for the District Court is appointed by and directly responsible to the Judge of the Court. This person has authority to execute duties delegated by the Judge of the Court, for the Court, to ensure the Court's policies and procedures are followed. Assist all parties to negotiate cases to ensure speedy flow of the docket.</li><li>

Serve as a liaison between the 235th District Court and the Regional Administrative Judge's Office concerning visiting judges.</li><li>

The goal of SLD is to provide attorneys at all experience levels with comprehensive and intensive training on sex and domestic violence matters so they can consistently provide effective legal representation in what are often complex and challenging cases.</p><p></p><p><br>
Because SLD is a new unit within the Defender Association, the Unit Coordinator will work closely with the Chief to develop the administrative structure of the unit. The Unit Coordinator will be asked to provide input on what systems and processes they think will best position the unit to operate as effectively and efficiently as possible. Creativity, organization, and attention to detail are necessary attributes for this position. This role also requires a thorough understanding of how files move through internal practice units; what information is necessary to ensure a file is well prepared for attorneys handling the case at each stage of the criminal process; and how to simultaneously manage multiple calendars.</p><p></p><p><br>

The Coordinator for Court Services performs a key role in assessment, coordination of legal matters, and specialized conditional release planning for individuals who are found by the courts to suffer from a Mental Health and/or Addictive Disease. Participants served may also include those who have been found Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity, incompetent to stand trial and/or under pre-trial diversion. This individual will be required to travel 50% of time and will serve as POC for court participants, working directly with Accountability Court Teams. They will be responsible for providing clinical updates and progression as well as clinical recommendations to the Accountability Court Team weekly. The coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that minimum treatment court requirements are obtained with each individual served through the courts. In addition, will collaborate with interagency clinical staff to ensure clinical treatment recommendations are addressed in treatment and will provide ongoing supervision and monitoring of all treatment plan needs of court participants. This individual will be responsible for ongoing communication with external Accountability Court Team members to ensure multiple systems are being addressed around participant&rsquo;s treatment (i.e. legal, home, work, community, etc). This individual will obtain certification required/requested by CACJ or Accountability Court programs to ensure evidence based treatments are being used with participants. Reviews files upon return from court and assists attorneys to prepare necessary case follow-up to ensure accurate and timely processing of case components.</li><li>

Acts as T.A.C. (Terminal Agency Coordinator) for department LEIN operation. Includes training and testing for certification, updating staff on LEIN policy and procedure changes, and coordinates hardware and software updates with State, County and Central Dispatch.</li><li>
Manages tracking and reporting of electronic fingerprint data. Includes verification of fingerprint submission, electronic transfer, LEIN checks and software maintenance. Acts as liaison between department, courts, law enforcement agencies and State.</li><li>
