The Opportunity

<li>Facilitate hospital credentialing/privileging and medical licensure needs for Vituity.Communicate application requirements, coordinate application paperwork, provide copies of credentialing information and documents, and monitor schedules.Work with medical staff/credentialing offices, medical boards, and/or outside license facilitation companies to prioritize applications and resolve any issues to ensure providers have obtained appropriate licenses and privileges.</li>

<div><p>We are seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner(APN) Or Physician Assistant (PA) to become a part of our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team.</p>
<p>
Responsibilities:</p>
<ul>
<li>At least two years experience inpatient cardiology as an APN or PA</li>
<li>Strong clinical skills; able to see patients independently in the hospital setting</li>
<li>See a minimal average of 10-15 patients/daily inpatient setting</li>
<li>Perform stress testing (will train)</li>
<li>Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic cardiac illnesses</li>
<li>Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments</li>
<li>Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients</li>
<li>Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures</li>
<li>Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities</li>
<li>Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care</li>
<li>Reports to the Director of Clinical Operations, who is also an APP</li>
</ul>
<p>Qualifications:</p>
<ul>
<li>At least two years inpatient experience in cardiology as an APN or Physician Assistant (RN experience does not count)<br>
</li>
<li>Comfortable<i> </i><i>independently</i> evaluating and treating cardiac patients</li>
<li>Proactive and receptive to tedious hospital and insurance credentialing process (takes at least 3 mo. for hospital, 6 for insurance)</li>
<li>Must have proof of prior malpractice gap insurance</li>
<li>Expert EKG interpretation</li>
<li>Prior critical care experience (nursing or NP) Ability to build rapport with patients</li>
<li>Experience independently performing cardiac stress testing preferred (but not required; we can train)</li>
<li>Start date determined by hospital credentialing if hired for the hospital first</li>
<li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Strong leadership qualities</li></ul></div>
