Identify and resolve transaction mistakes when debits and credits do not balance by following specified procedures</li><li>
Receive and verify correct mortgage and loan payments, verifying payment dates, payment amounts due, late fees and correct account and / or loan.</li><li>
Contact Members with questions as needed or assigned.</li><li>
Resolve problems or discrepancies concerning Members' accounts.</li><li>
Allow Members access to Safety Deposit Boxes, following specified procedures.</li><li>
Assist Vault Teller by counting money from bank vault, to ensure cash balances stated by the Vault Teller are correct.</li><li>
Order a supply of cash to meet daily needs, in accordance with procedural amounts.</li><li>
Receive and count daily inventories of cash before entering drawer.</li><li>
Obtain Canadian exchange rates and calculate accordingly.</li><li>
Support all other departments as needed (I.E., processing EFT wires, delivering loan paperwork to the proper department, etc.).</li><li>

Teller - North Kalispell

Cherokee Strip Credit Union

<p><b>
Role</b></p><p>
Under the direction of the Retail Manager, the Teller conducts basic financial transactions for members of the Credit Union. The Teller handles routine member transactions, inquiries and resolves simple problems while maintaining excellent relationships with members, co-workers and management. The Teller is expected to provide prompt and friendly service, maintain a high degree of proficiency and efficiency in completing transactions, and be able to refer various products and services to members.</p><p>
This is a PART-TIME position working 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Candidate will also be required to work 4 hours on a rotating Saturday morning schedule.</p>
Requirements:

Major Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
50% - Responsible for processing basic teller transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, negotiable instruments, transfers, and check cashing. Must be proficient in various member servicing requests including stop payments, address/phone number/email updates, check orders, online banking inquiries, ACH/A2A/AFT Transfers and incoming and outgoing Wire Transfers. Must be able to conduct such transactions with minimal assistance. Must be proficient in balancing with minimal errors and unreconciled cash differences. Responsible for handling member inquiries, whether in-person, via the telephone or email in a timely manner.</li><li>
25% - Must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all Credit Union products and services. Responsible for identifying opportunities and making suggestions/referrals for additional products/services while conducting member transactions and inquiries.</li><li>
10% - Must demonstrate understanding of various consumer regulations governing member accounts and transactions, including but not limited to the Credit Union's Privacy Policy, Funds Availability Policy, OFAC, the Patriot Act and the Bank Secrecy Act. Must be able to properly complete a Currency Transaction Report with minimal or no errors. Must be able to identify behaviors or activities that are suspicious in nature and take appropriate action to prevent loss to the Credit Union and/or the Member. Must be able to recognize those transactions that may require a Hold, must be able to place the Hold and provide appropriate notice to the Member.</li><li>
10% - Responsible for completing necessary training to advance to Member Advisor Position within six to twelve months.</li><li>

One to Three years cash handling experience required. Previous experience in sales or as a Teller in a Bank or Credit Union preferred but not required.</p><p>

   Processes all transactions within assigned limits, maintains daily cash, and sells cash to the vault as needed so as not to exceed established limit. Adheres to accurate cash balancing procedures. Researches and resolves cash differences.

   Identifying opportunities to cross-sell credit union products and services while generating referrals based on Member needs.
  </li>
  <li>
   Responsible for responding to Member inquiries and resolving issues. Educate Members on alternative channels that provide service.
  </li>
  <li>
   Adhere to accurate check scanning and balancing.
  </li>
  <li>
   Adhere to the service standards outlined by the credit union.
  </li>
  <li>
   Assist with opening/closing branch procedures as necessary, Saturday availability.
  </li>
  <li>
   Adhere to credit union policies, operational controls, and regulatory procedures to ensure the safety and security of Member and credit union assets. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products and services.
  </li>

   Must be able to work in a team environment with the ability to interact well, and in a positive manner, with co-workers and management.
  </li>
  <li>
   Complete understanding and active application the Exceptional Experience Guide expectations.
