<div><div>As the On-call Crisis Hotline Counselor is a critical role within the Houston Area Women&rsquo;s Center that provides real-time support to clients in immediate need. The On-call Crisis Hotline Counselor conducts intakes and assessments to provide a full spectrum of services in collaboration with programs across the agency. Screen, assess, triage, and provide telephonic crisis intervention/de-escalation to individuals in crisis. Identify concerns with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and/or substance use and refer to the appropriate resource. Utilize assessment information and community resources to provide information and/or linkage and referral to services.</li><li>
Patch call to appropriate clinical staff in a timely manner based on geographic location and patient needs. Complete appropriate documentation in accordance with established policy, procedure, and QA guidelines of the agency.</li><li>
Shift leader for call center. Assist with guiding new and existing staff during assigned shifts. Troubleshoots issues/problem solves solutions to team issues. Provide guidance and resources to staff during shift. Act as a support to staff during shifts.</li><li>
Participate in assessment/community response staff meetings, individual supervision PRN, and daily call review.</li><li>
Comply with all applicable CDMHC/OMH policy, quality assurance, corporate compliance, and cultural competence policies, procedures, and regulations and all Federal and State laws as well as attend all training classified as mandatory by Federal and State regulations. Engage in additional trainings to maintain professional development.</li></ul></div>

At Pace we transform girls&rsquo; lives through academic and counseling programs based on a gender-responsive, strength-based and trauma informed framework. Team members create a safe place for girls to learn, grow, and heal.
The counselor role provides prevention services to girls that includes social emotional support, intensive care (case) management, crisis counseling, and psycho-educational groups to girls. This position is aimed at helping girls decrease risk-related behaviors.
