Position Overview</b></p><p><i>
Performs on-screen post-processing of computerized tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data in a variety of dimensions to create images that assist with exam interpretation. Manages the transfer of image data to and from the 3D imaging platforms in an accurate and timely manner and manipulates digital medical images in multiple planes and dimensions for clinical visualization and analysis of diagnostic studies. Keeps abreast of all new 3D rendering techniques, computer programs, and software systems. Serves as a central coordinator for troubleshooting issues involving exam routing and interpretation completions in PACS.</i></p><p></p><p><b>
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</b></p><ul><li>

<div>We are seeking an experienced Tech Assistant II / Radiology Scheduler to support a busy Diagnostic Imaging department. This role focuses on scheduling imaging procedures, coordinating with clinical teams, and ensuring smooth patient workflow.</div>
<div></div><div><b>Key Responsibilities</b></div>
<div>Schedule imaging exams across multiple modalities (PET/CT, CT, MRI, US, Angio, NM, X-ray, Mammography)
</div><div>Coordinate with physicians, radiologists, and nursing staff for procedures
</div><div>Obtain prior authorizations, CPT/ICD codes, and verify medical necessity (Medicare guidelines)
</div><div>Register and pre-register patients; collect and verify demographic and insurance information
</div><div>Prepare charts, consents, questionnaires, and identification bands
</div><div>Utilize PACS system to manage, print, and distribute imaging studies
</div><div>Assist with patient preparation and provide clear instructions for procedures
</div><div>Transport and assist patients (wheelchair/stretcher support; lifting as needed)
</div><div>Maintain accurate documentation and scan physician orders into system
</div><div>Answer and direct calls professionally with excellent customer service

<div>Strong scheduling experience with imaging modalities

</div><div>Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
