The incumbent is responsible for on the job training, and work performance evaluation of subordinate staff. Other duties include maintaining custodial materials and supplies inventory, submitting purchase requisitions, stores, and issues paper supplies, chemical supplies, and necessary equipment required to maintain the facility in clean and sanitary conditions for students and staff. CSDR is a residential school that has various types of classrooms, offices, workrooms, living areas, and multi-purpose activity spaces to maintain.</div><div></div><div><br>
Work Schedule: This is a (12) month position and works through Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer academic breaks. <i>Ability to:</i> understand and follow instructions; develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates and general public; perform light manual labor for extended periods of time.</p>

Skill in:</i> first aide, CPR; operating general custodial equipment.</p>

QUALIFICATIONS</b></p>
<p>
High School Diploma or GED and ability to perform light manual labor for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift heavy objects occasionally which could be over 25 pounds. Must be able to pass a criminal background check.</p>
<p>
Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act Requirements.</p>

</b></p><p>This position is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary indoor and outdoor areas of the facility through routine custodial work, operation of cleaning equipment, and minor maintenance repairs. Duties include cleaning classrooms, restrooms, and fixtures; handling and storing supplies; conserving energy; performing basic carpentry; maintaining grounds (e.g., mowing, sweeping, snow removal); and ensuring overall cleanliness, order, and safety of the building and surrounding premises.
</p><p></p><p><b>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
</b></p><ul><li>Knowledge of standards for cleanliness of grounds, buildings, and equipment
</li><li>Knowledge of school building codes and laws.
</li><li>Knowledge of the precautions necessary to safeguard personnel, property, and equipment
</li><li>Knowledge of the maintenance and minor repair of plumbing, heating, and electrical systems and fixtures_
</li><li>Knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in janitorial work_
</li><li>Ability to climb to the height of school roof/ceiling_
</li><li>Ability to use and/or operate cleaning equipment associated with high volume traffic facilities
