The Pricing Manager is responsible for overseeing all pricing database management and reporting functions to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility. This role ensures that pricing information is consistently reliable and readily available to support Andrews&rsquo; sales and delivery operations. Key responsibilities include managing and maintaining pricing data systems, generating and distributing pricing reports, and providing timely product and pricing communications to internal and external stakeholders&mdash;including the sales team, brand team, suppliers, and retail partners.

Pricing Administration and Management
<ul><li>Oversees total portfolio pricing and communications activities for all business initiatives and activities.</li><li>
Manages the day-to-day pricing and communications activities across the company.</li><li>
Manages a team of individual contributors ensuring pricing administration and communication is timely and accurate.</li><li>
Audits pricing and promotions completed by team.</li><li>
Develops best practices for maintaining and updating department tools and team resources.</li><li>
Serves as second level contact for pricing issues and inquiries.</li><li>
Understands all product and pricing-related processes, including strategic pricing practices.</li><li>
Ensures product and pricing information is communicated to the sales team, brand team, suppliers, and retail partners in support of daily business needs and as requested.
</li><li>Audits price letters, bridge buy guides and new item letters.</li></ul>
Data Analysis and Recommendations
<ul><li>Identifies opportunities, proposes solutions, and produces actionable pricing insights in support of company strategies and business initiatives.
</li><li>Analyzes industry SKU margins and reports as applicable.</li><li>
Performs gross revenue, COGS, discount, rebate and gross profit analysis at the brand, SKU and customer level.</li><li>
Produces a variety of reports, analysis, proposals, and summaries as required.</li><li>
Ensures product Standard Costing Standard is accurate.
</li><li>Assists with general price increases by establishing timelines, assisting with strategy, ensuring execution, and providing gross profit net impacts.</li></ul>
Cross Functional Collaboration
<ul><li>Works cross-functionally with other Andrew&rsquo;s teams to implement and administer company-wide pricing initiatives.</li><li>
Participates as an active member of Data Governance team, ensuring product and customer information integrity and determining process impacts to data.</li><li>
Summarizes and presents results on pricing initiatives to Leadership and other teams as needed.</li><li>
Supports strategic projects across the organization as applicable.</li><li>
Provides product, pricing and customer insights and expertise as needed.
</li><li>Works collaboratively with Accounting team concerning supplier costing.
</li></ul>Team Member Development
<ul><li>Coaches, develops, and engages team members to support their performance, growth, and overall success</li><li>
Coaches and develops team members through individual team member meetings, annual performance management and engagement.</li><li>
Works 1-on-1 with team members to ensure all are trained and coached on current company processes, sales processes, and operational standards.</li><li>
Meets with team members to discuss career goals, support role development, and create actionable development plans.</li><li>
Engages team members to understand team needs, identify challenges, and recommend improvements.</li><li>
Seeks continuous feedback from team members and incorporating suggestions to enhance team performance and effectiveness.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or Related Field</li><li>
Three Plus Years Experience in Pricing, Financial Analysis, Revenue Management, Merchandising Analytics or Similar Data-Driven Roles; Demonstrated Experience Managing Pricing Databases, ERP Systems, or Product Information Systems</li><li>
Two Plus Years Sales and/or RAS Sales Support Experience</li><li>
Prior Supervisory, Team Management and Team Member Development Experience</li><li>
Ability to Manage and Lead a Team with Multiple, Conflicting and Changing Priorities</li><li>
Advanced Communication and Relationship Building Skills; Ability to Collaborate and Influence at all Organizational Levels</li><li>
Strong Proficiency in MS Office; Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams; Including Advanced Formulas, Pilot Tables and Data Modeling</li></ul>

Job Title: 
Pricing Strategy Manager
 
Position Summary: 
The Pricing Strategy Manager at athenahealth is a key contributor to the company’s pricing initiatives, focusing on driving actionable, data-driven insights. This role is based in Boston, MA, with a hybrid setup that includes in-person collaboration and remote work within the US. The individual will report directly to the Pricing Strategy Director and will play a vital part in shaping our pricing strategies through data analysis, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
 
About the Team: 
The Pricing Strategy team operates with a three-pronged charter, aimed at leveraging data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and foster long-term customer relationships:
 
Implement price uplifts across the existing customer base to ensure sustainable revenue growth.
 
Develop and execute innovative pricing strategies aimed at increasing customer retention and minimizing attrition.
 
Build and refine reporting and analytics frameworks that inform current and future pricing initiatives.
 
Essential Job Responsibilities: 
Analyze go-to-market pricing and packaging trends to identify opportunities and recommend optimal price and package configurations for specific prospect types.
 
Analyze transaction, deal, and CRM data to identify pricing opportunities, anomalies, and areas for margin or win-rate improvement.
 
Design and deliver pricing recommendations and playbooks that sellers can apply to specific customer types and deal contexts.
 
Prepare and present reports on pricing performance, trends, and insights to stakeholders, including athena’s Executive Leadership Team & Corporate Sponsors, with an emphasis on both the “why” behind results & how results should drive improvements and changes.
 
Partner with Director Pricing Strategy to create and govern the Pricing KPI package for ELT reporting, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and actionable insights.
 
Manage cross-functional projects with Sales, Product, Finance, and Data Engineering to operationalize pricing changes and tracking.
 
Communicate complex analyses and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders, translating technical findings into business actions.
 
Additional Job Responsibilities: 
Support ad-hoc win/loss analyses and competitive pricing benchmarking as requested by leadership.
 
Collaborate on experiments and A/B tests to validate the impact of pricing changes.
 
Contribute to development of pricing tools and decision-support systems used by sellers.
 
Participate in reviews of pricing strategies and provide input on future state priorities.
 
Assist in documenting pricing policies, model assumptions, and governance processes.
 
Expected Education & Experience: 
4–7 years of relevant experience in pricing analytics, revenue management, commercial analytics, or a related field.
 
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
 
Strong Excel skills, including advanced functions and modeling.
 
Power BI or Tableau experience for dashboarding and executive reporting.
 
Experience with Python and/or R highly desired for analysis, modeling, and reproducible workflows.
 
Practical experience applying AI/ML techniques to analytics, forecasting, or model-driven pricing is highly desired.
 
Demonstrated experience collaborating with sales, finance, product, and engineering stakeholders to drive commercial outcomes.
 
Expected Compensation $92,000 - $156,000
 The base salary range shown reflects the full range for this role from minimum to maximum. At athenahealth, base pay depends on multiple factors, including job-related experience, relevant knowledge and skills, how your qualifications compare to others in similar roles, and geographical market rates. Base pay is only one part of our competitive Total Rewards package - depending on role eligibility, we offer both short and long-term incentives by way of an annual discretionary bonus plan, variable compensation plan, and equity plans.
