Direct customers to store areas of need and make sure they are comfortable before you leave them.</li><li>
Demonstrate superior phone etiquette as outlined by the organization and direct calls appropriately.</li><li>
Make sure all items leave building with proper processing.</li><li>
Watch for potential theft.</li><li>
Finalize all purchases/returns in a timely and accurate manner.</li><li>
Answer questions customers may have about products and/or plants, and if necessary direct them to someone who can better answer the question.</li><li>
Make sure each customer has all the necessary items to be successful in the garden.</li><li>
Promote Petitti Rewards loyalty program.
</li><li>Maintain proper pricing and clear signage.</li><li>
Maintain a clean and straightened work area and sales floor at all times.</li><li>
Stock and refill supplies in work area and stock and refill merchandise as needed.</li><li>
Apply basic mathematical skills when necessary.</li><li>
Notify Department Head of any problems with the POS system when scanning products or with any other inventory issue.</li><li>
Attend daily huddles and store meetings.</li><li>
Assist other departments when needed.</li><li>
Maintain neat, professional appearance at all times, including personal appearance as outlined in the employee handbook.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"> 
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

<ul><li>Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.</li><li>
Knowledge of the Company&rsquo;s Point of Sale (POS) system, basic Microsoft computer programs, Company e-mail and their capabilities.
</li><li>General knowledge of products and plants.</li></ul>
