 Trace Systems is actively recruiting for a Database Administrator I to support the AFCENT Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) contract at Doha, Qatar
 
 
 
 The Job Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Support the day-to-day management, operation, maintenance and administration of communications and IT systems and services in production, development, exercise and training environments. Preventive, remedial, and corrective maintenance shall be performed to ensure equipment and/or systems are in full operating condition as described by the equipment manufacturer without degradation of service.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide Systems Admin support for C2 communications servers, clients and applications, including but not limited to WAVE, CT-II, Mako, TransVerse/MXPP, etc.);
 </li>
 <li>
 Install, patch, upgrade, tune, optimize and repair hardware and software (including operating systems, applications and databases) to maintain optimal performance;
 </li>
 <li>
 O&amp;M of equipment and/or systems up to and including their demarcation points, and shall coordinate with, and assist external entities (other governmental agencies or contractors) in troubleshooting beyond their demarcation point during outages and troubleshooting, as required;
 </li>
 <li>
 Establish a trend analysis program to ensure equipment, systems and services meet minimum operational availability, reliability and survivability requirements, (including backup and recovery of end-to-end systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify hardware, software and/or service shortfalls and provide optimization recommendations to the government technical representative.
 </li>
 <li>
 Schedule, coordinate, perform and record Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) on the communication and IT systems and associated hardware IAW the original equipment manufacturer&rsquo;s manuals (and/or government technical orders, as applicable) and USAFCENT Special Instructions- Communications (SPIN-C);
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform unscheduled maintenance when equipment repairs and/or service restoration is required;
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor equipment and systems for indications of warnings, faults, alarm conditions and outages; and provide component and system fault isolation, diagnostics, troubleshooting and restoration services
 </li>
 <li>
 Troubleshoot until the source of the condition, degradation or outage is identified, and implement corrective actions and repairs to restore affected equipment, systems or services to full operational capability
 </li>
 <li>
 Design, write, modify and implement software programs/applications;
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop &ldquo;glue-ware&rdquo; to support operational client applications and security patches;
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide Tier 2 technical support;
 </li>

 Install, configure, operate, manage, troubleshoot, repair, upgrade, inspect and maintain server systems (physical and virtual), including administration of core and functional services;

 Manage and administer user accounts, profiles and access;

 Perform database and application security patching, upgrades and enhancements;

 Install and integrate new and/or and customize existing applications; and create custom views, queries, reports and templates;

 Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for database/data dictionaries;
 </li>
 <li>
 Administer and control database access permissions and privileges;

 Develop, test, execute and manage back-up and recovery plans;
 </li>

 Perform database configuration, change and capacity management activities;

 Minimum Qualifications

 Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.

 Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.

 Regulation Requirement:Due to Qatar's immigration and labor regulations, Qatar work visas cannot be issued to individuals aged 60 or over, and are not subject to a waiver. Additionally, foreign nationals aged 60 or older are unable to renew their Qatari visa or change sponsors. Therefore, per Qatar work visa regulations, candidates must be 59 years of age or younger to be eligible for a Qatari work visa as required for this position.
