Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Child Care Director is responsible for the planning, development and effective implementation of the operation of a quality early care childcare program that complies with current Delacare and Delaware STARS rules and regulations. The position includes program management and staff supervision. The position requires knowledge of various educational approaches, software and other educational materials. 
 
Essential Functions</div>
<ul><li>Manage day-to-day operation of the licensed preschool/childcare and summer camp program.</li>
<li>Interpret and maintain compliance with current state licensing requirements for early care childcare centers; address non-compliance issues as needed.</li>
<li>Control expenditures against an assigned budget; recommend income and expense projections for assigned areas of responsibility; assist with the financial development of the childcare program.</li>
<li>Ensure safe implementation of all childcare activities including the condition of equipment and facilities,</li>
<li>age-appropriate activities and appropriate use of equipment and supplies.</li>
<li>Directly supervise children and youth within guidelines established by Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of Delaware, and in compliance with applicable state licensing and Delaware Starts regulations.</li>

<li>(including behavioral issues), payments, etc.</li>

As a Preschool Assistant Director at The Learning Experience, You Will: 
</div><ul><li>Lead by example, displaying passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and employees. Create an environment of trust, rapport, and inclusivity, easily connecting with diverse groups of people.</li>
<li>Ensure that the physical center environment adheres to health and safety standard operating procedures, maintaining full compliance with local and state licensing regulations.</li>
<li>Build and maintain a highly qualified staff by actively sourcing, training, coaching, and engaging with current and prospective employees.</li>
<li>Guide our teachers in implementing our proprietary curriculum, leveraging your passion for learning. Take advantage of our engaging characters to drive the curriculum, creating a fun and enriching learning experience at TLE.</li>
<li>Drive consistent business results, measured through family retention and conversion, enrollment growth, and efficient business operations. Manage accounts receivable and payable, generate monthly P&amp;L reports, and oversee employee payroll.</li>
<li>Engage prospective families through both in-person and virtual center tours, effectively showcasing the benefits of our program. Organize and execute community marketing events to raise awareness and drive enrollment.</li>

</div><ul><li>Have two or more years of center leadership/management experience (highly preferred) or at least one year of center leadership/management experience (required).</li>
<li>Possess the state-specific Administrative or Director credential, as well as any other state-specific guidelines for the role.</li>
<li>Hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field (highly preferred).</li>
<li>Demonstrate strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations.</li>
