Job Description:
This position is responsible for assisting Delivery Drivers with the delivery of beverages (Beer/Spirits) to retail locations throughout the local community. This is a front-line role for servicing our customers. Delivery Assistants are responsible for partnering with the Delivery Driver to ensure timely delivery of beverages.
Job Duties:<ul>
<li>Delivering required beverages to locations as specified by route.</li>
<li>Follow Delivery Drivers directions to make the deliveries run smoothly and accurately.</li>
<li>Stock all windows, cold boxes, coolers, shelves and displays in retail accounts quickly and efficiently as directed by Deliver Driver
</li><li>Effectively communicate issues and opportunities to the Delivery Driver</li>
<li>Learn all deposit / reconciliation procedures.</li>
<li>Learn product code dates for all brands and packages</li>

<li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license with a good driving record</li>
<li>Have at least a year of driving experience</li>

A Delivery Assistant partners with Hometown Delivery team members and works collaboratively to provide exceptional customer service to all accounts with product delivery and merchandising, responsible for the completeness and correctness of all delivered orders. The Delivery Assistant takes daily direction from the assigned Route/Swing Driver and reports directly into a Hometown Delivery Manager.

<ul><li>Assists with deliveries to all scheduled accounts in accordance with Delivery Service Guidelines while adhering to all applicable driving and safety regulations.</li><li>
Unloads, loads, and moves product repetitively using appropriate equipment throughout shift while maintaining a clean, clutter-free and organized work area and backroom in all retail accounts as directed by the daily assigned Route or Swing Driver.</li><li>
Stocks all windows, cold boxes, coolers, hot shelves and displays in retail accounts quickly and efficiently as directed by the Route/Swing Driver.</li><li>
Rotates product to ensure quality standards are maintained; adheres to Andrews Guidelines as required.</li><li>
Assists and collaborates with the assigned Route or Swing Driver to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries.</li><li>
Performs all delivery duties in a friendly, professional manner.</li><li>
Adheres to all applicable driving and safety regulations; completes all annual OSHA, safety and compliance required training in a timely manner to ensure understanding of all safety and compliance requirements.</li><li>
Effectively communicates issues and opportunities to the Route, Swing Driver or Hometown Delivery Manager as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.</li><li>
Assists the assigned Route or Swing Driver to ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction.</li></ul><ul><li>This position requires working flexible and extended work hours, weekends and holidays.</li></ul>
