Instructors are responsible for the delivery of educational materials by utilizing sound educational practices focused on the successful academic development of each student. Instructors utilize the educational experience as a vehicle for the development of knowledge and skills of the student&rsquo;s chosen field in order to help students achieve their educational and career goals. Instructors promote an educational environment that is engaging, dynamic, and student-centered additionally providing support, tutoring and other assistance as needed. Instructors lead by example, model professional behavior centered on ethical conduct with focus on the Ancora Education Mission and Core Values.</p><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Key Responsibilities</b></h3><ul><li><p>
Utilize classroom and lab instruction, student assessment mechanisms, and classroom management techniques to provide an engaged educational experience to students</p></li><li><div>
Guarantee that student has been presented with the material to successfully meet the learning objectives of each course within a student&rsquo;s program of study</div></li><li><div>
Ensure that instructional materials and equipment are ready for student use, sufficient in quantity, are properly maintained, and are in working order</div></li><li><div>
Participate in ongoing faculty assessment and professional development activities to ensure an active, engaged, and up-to-date classroom experience for all students; maintain required certification and licensure</div></li><li><div>
Actively participate in meetings, review and analyze assessment data, compile reports, and meet academic and administrative deadlines</div></li><li><div>
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory bodies&rsquo; guidelines, along with internal policies of the company</div></li><li><div>

Experience and Education Required</b></h3><ul><li><p>
Where required, must have an active certification or licensure;</p></li><li><div>
Non‐Degree and Occupational Associate Degrees technical/occupational courses: a minimum of three (3) years&rsquo; practical work experience in the field of instruction;</div></li><li><div>
Academic Associate or Bachelor's Degree technical/occupational courses: minimum four (4) years&rsquo; practical work experience in the field of instruction and possess a related degree at least at the same level as the course being taught. All online faculty must have a master's degree in the content area or a master's degree with a minimum of 18 semester/24 quarter graduate credit hours in the content area;</div></li><li><div>
Exceptional cases: eight (8) years&rsquo; practical work experience <i>may </i>be substituted for practical work experience and justified by the campus;</div></li><li><div>
General Education courses: master&rsquo;s degree with appropriate academic coursework and preparation in the subject area(s) taught &ndash; 18 semester hours of coursework at any credential level in the subject;</div></li><li><div>
Some states required 18 semester hours at the master&rsquo;s level</div></li><li><div>
Prior to beginning to teach, instructors either need to have documented prior teaching experience or complete the new instructor training</div></li><li><div>
Demonstration of the highest levels of integrity and professionalism in all aspects, including appearance, demeanor, and attitude</div></li><li><div>
Solid computer software skills including Microsoft Office or Google Workspace</div></li><li><div>
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated success in collaborating with diverse groups of employees and customers</div></li><li><div>
Ability to work in an observation/coaching style environment</div></li><li><div>
Capability to prioritize, accept responsibility, and work within deadlines</div></li><li><div>
Superior organizational and problem-resolution skills</div></li><li><div>
Demonstrated commitment to customer service</div></li><li><div>
