Job Summary:</i></b></p><p>
Provide comprehensive dental care services to patients within a community health center setting. This role focuses on delivering high quality, patient centered oral healthcare services and represent CAHC in the community by participating in CAHC sponsored outreach events.</p>
Requirements:<p><br>
</p><p><b>Task Responsibilities &amp; Competencies:</b></p><ul><li><b>Include but are not limited to:</b></li><li>Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments</li><li>Diagnose oral diseases and develop appropriate treatment plans</li><li>Provide preventive services such as cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants</li><li>Perform restorative procedures including fillings, crowns and bridges</li><li>Conduct extractions and other minor surgical procedures</li><li>Measure and fit for removable dental appliances such as partials and dentures using traditional and digital methods</li><li>Participate in school-based health and community outreach programs, as well as oral health education initiatives</li><li>Provide required dental care as needed.</li><li>Refer patients to a specialist if needed</li><li>Deliver culturally competent care to diverse and underserved populations</li><li>Participate as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.</li><li>Maintain accurate and timely patient records in electronic health records (HER)</li><li>Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement initiatives</li></ul><p><b><i>
Minimum Education and Experience:</i></b></p><p><b><i>
Required:</i></b></p><ul><li>Graduate of an accredited school of dental and Current State of Ohio Dental License</li><li>Ability to communicate and work with a diverse population base.</li><li>Eligible for Medicaid/Medicare provider status.</li><li>Strong clinical background.</li><li>Expertise in denture fabrication, extractions, complex restorative and patient management.</li><li>Excellent oral and written communications&rsquo; skills</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population.</li><li><b><i>Possible eligibility for loan repayment options (example National Health Service Corps, Ohio Dentist Loan Repayment Program)</i></b></li></ul></div>
