 The Mammalogy department is seeking a part-time Department Administrator to handle day-to-day departmental administrative operations, including budgets and financial recordkeeping, purchasing, invoices, travel planning and accounting, timekeeping, mail and shipping, inquiries, updates to departmental websites and upkeep of the department&rsquo;s library and archives. Additionally, the Department Administrator serves as administrative liaison with other departments both within and outside of the Division of Vertebrate Zoology at the Museum.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Job duties include, but are not limited to:

 Manage the department&rsquo;s office space and answer general inquiries via phone/email. Act as a liaison with other departments at the Museum.

 The expected salary range for the Department Administrator is
 
 
 $31.00/hour &ndash; $33.00/hour. This position is overtime-eligible.
 
 
 
 
 
 Pay will be determined based on several factors. The hiring range for the position at commencement is based on the type of work and the scope of responsibilities. The Ambulatory Practice Supervisor is primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day frontend operations of an ambulatory practice. Working under the direction of the Cancer Center Administrator, the Ambulatory Practice Supervisor is responsible for implementing and maintaining MSHS policies and procedures related to front-end practice operations, including Patients First! service standards and staffing models. The Ambulatory Practice Supervisor is responsible for supervising the front-end staff in the Practice; and for performing any of the related roles as staffing contingencies requires. Responsibilities

2. Review staff appointment scheduling for accuracy and completeness to maintain the highest levels of right appointment at the right time with the right physician. When needed, communication with the Cancer Center Administrator or members of the Medical Team to handle any scheduling decisions.
3. Assists the Cancer Center Administrator in the preparation of daily, monthly and year end reporting.
4. Assists the Cancer Center Administrator in creating training materials and scheduling guidelines, along with continued training of staff with scheduling appointments.
5. Maintains high quality levels of customer service and data integrity in the management of patient calls monitoring performance using the Automated Call Distribution and Par8to referral database standardized reports and working with staff to ensure understanding of software procedures.
6. Provides next level of guidance and assistance with escalated MyChart calls.
7. Ensures appropriate reimbursement for services. Plans and organizes orientation and in-service training for staff members on insurance verification and co-pay collection procedures.

6. Provides patient treatments which meet patient needs and uses current treatment
knowledge in accordance with facilities clinical procedures. This includes but is not
limited to:
Performing accurate, comprehensive patient evaluations.
Developing effective plan of treatment and obtaining appropriate approvals from referring physician.
Communicating with supervisor and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, problems, and treatment plans.
Instructing patient&rsquo;s families and/or nursing staff in specified follow through programs.
Interviewing patients and families regarding previous level of functioning, life style and current and future expectations for recovery.
Demonstrating knowledge of appropriate resources for problem-solving and clinical best practice.
Evaluating patients within required timeframe as per facility policies. Provides patient care as appropriate and necessary, following the position description for the applicable clinical discipline in which licensure or certification is held.
 7. Writes accurate, complete, and clear documentation in accordance with CareRite Centers, regulatory, licensing, payor, and accrediting requirements.
This includes but is not limited to:
Recording Screens/Resident Needs Reviews, evaluations, daily treatment notes, in accordance with facility Policies and Procedures.
Recording treatment charges accurately and insuring that documentation is consistent with billing data.
Writing specific, objective documentation that is outcome oriented and details the patient&rsquo;s needs, potential to benefit from treatment, and progress achieved to date. Includes specific, objective measurable goals.
 8. Consistently demonstrates facility interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
This includes but is not limited to:
Integrating findings of other members of the interdisciplinary team in treatment assessment and recommendations.
Integrating input from patient and family in treatment assessment and recommendations.
Preparing for and providing meaningful contributions to the rehab team conferences, patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, family conferences, and caregiver training sessions.
Collaborating with and informing facility staff in areas of patient progress.
Educating members of the team in areas of expertise.
Working with facility to teach documentation practices which assist the respiratory therapy team.
Communicating effectively with discharge planners.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a High Performance Computing (HPC) Systems Administrator.
 
 
The High Performance Computing (HPC) Systems Administrator will leverage technical expertise to collaborate with the HPC team, scientists, and software engineers in supporting the computational needs of world-class researchers in both clinical and basic science at NYU Langone Health (NYULH). Reporting to the Director of the NYULH HPC Facility, the Systems Administrator will work closely with facility staff, principal investigators, research labs, core facilities, individual scientists, and students. Primary responsibilities include system administration, system monitoring, troubleshooting, software maintenance, installations, and optimization of advanced computing systems and related infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Deploy, administer, and monitor Linux-based HPC clusters and petascale storage 
systems.</li>
<li>Install, maintain, and upgrade scientific software, libraries, and licensed 
applications.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot and resolve system, hardware, and application issues across HPC 
environments.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain scripts for system administration, monitoring, reporting, and 
data pipeline optimization.</li>
<li>Provide technical support to researchers; assist with project execution, 
benchmarking, and resource planning.</li>
<li>Research, deploy, and optimize resource management and scheduling systems 
(e.g., batch systems).</li>
<li>Evaluate and manage a helpdesk ticketing system; ensure timely resolution of user-submitted issues.</li>
<li>Integrate HPC systems with laboratory equipment such as DNA sequencers, mass

Minimum Qualifications: 
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Bioinformatics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
 
3+ years of experience administering Linux systems, HPC clusters, and large-scale storage solutions.
 
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl for system administration and automation.
 
Experience with job scheduling systems (e.g., Slurm, PBS, LSF) and resource management tools.
 
Strong troubleshooting skills across system, hardware, network, and application layers.
 
Familiarity with scientific software installation, configuration, and maintenance.
 
Knowledge of security best practices, including the handling of Protected Health Information (PHI) in research environments.
 
Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to support and train non-expert users.

Preferred Qualifications: 
Experience supporting research computing in biomedical or clinical environments.
 
Familiarity with data transfer optimization tools (e.g., Globus, Aspera) and parallel file systems (e.g., GPFS, Lustre, BeeGFS).
 
Experience integrating HPC resources with laboratory instruments (e.g., DNA sequencers, mass spectrometers, microscopes).
 
Experience developing and delivering technical training, tutorials, or workshops.
 
Knowledge of grant writing processes and preparing computational resource justifications.
 
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Singularity, Docker) in HPC environments.
