 Act as family liaison to current and inquiring families, providing information about the Watch Me Shine HCT program, providing general support, and connecting them with staff specializing in their concerns as needed. Face-to-face meetings are preferred as schedules permit.

 Follow all policies and procedures of the Watch Me Shine, Inc. program
 </li>

 Participate in all mandatory trainings, meetings including team meetings, and community meetings.
 </li>

 Coordinate and facilitate team meetings for each HCT client as needed.

We have an excellent full time opportunity for a Clinician to provide outpatient treatment to individual/families of the Behavioral Health Center in an office and/or outreach basis. The starting salary range is $54,870 - $56,950
Duties and responsibilities:<ul><li>
Clinicians will provide therapy services - individual, group, couples or family. Services may be office based, school based, community based or via telehealth as appropriate for the clinical needs of the client.</li><li>
Clinicians will attend case conferences and multi-disciplinary meetings. Clinicians will be expected to maintain caseload as assigned to perform assessment, treatment, planning and ongoing psychotherapy.</li><li>
Clinicians will make referrals to other resources, agencies, clinics, and hospitals as needed.</li><li>
Clinicians may be called upon to provide trainings and to participate in the clinic staff training program, as well as being available as a consultant on clinical work issues.</li><li>
Ongoing supervision will be provided to meet requirement of the agency and licensing bodies.</li><li>
Clinicians will provide on-call triage to clients of FSA&rsquo;s Behavioral Health Center on a rotating basis. Clinicians will be required to submit a timesheet biweekly.</li><li>
Full-time Clinicians receive 3 weeks Paid Time off and 11 Paid Holidays. Paid Time off must be used by June 30th of each fiscal year unless the clinician starts in the final quarter of the fiscal year. Such person will have until October 1st of the next fiscal year to take accrued PTO. Full-time clinicians working 40 hours will be expected to bill 56 billable units per pay period.</li></ul>

Jefferson Blount St Clair Mental Health Authority

Normal Work Hours/Days: 7 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.; Every Other Weekend (Saturday &amp; Sunday)
Location: Crisis Care Center
The Crisis Care Center is designed to provide crisis stabilization to individuals experiencing a behavioral health and/or substance use crisis and reduce pressure on law enforcement and local emergency departments. Once the crisis has been resolved and the individual has been stabilized, 
they will be linked with a community mental health provider for on-going services. The individual hired for this position is responsible for the assessment, admission, and/or referral of clients presenting to the Crisis Care Center. In addition, the individual hired will be responsible for 
development of treatment plans, implementation of direct clinical services such as individual and/or group therapy, and initiation of discharge plans for clients admitted to the Crisis Care Center.

Responsible for the overall planning and coordination of admissions to the Crisis Care Center.
Work directly and harmoniously with the Crisis Care Center psychiatrist, Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners (CRNPs), Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Assessor, and all members of the nursing staff.
Responsible for conducting initial intake assessments (such as but not limited to biopsychosocial assessments), substance use assessments, telehealth services with law enforcement/hospitals, and other individualized assessments, creating recovery-oriented treatment plans and the initiation of 
discharge planning.
Responsible for provision of direct clinical services, including individual therapy, group therapy and crisis intervention as indicated by individual need.
Coordinate ongoing care with emergency departments, hospitals, community health/mental health providers as needed.
Provide accurate documentation in debriefing for daily/weekly reports and/or treatment team meetings as stipulated by program demands.
Other duties and tasks as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in a human services field (i.e., Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy).
Licensure not required for hire but preferred (i.e., LMSW, LAPC, LAMFT, LICSW, LPC, LMFT).
If unlicensed, must be willing to work towards obtaining licensure per ADMH guidelines to provide mental health and substance use services in the state of Alabama.
Valid Alabama driver's license and driving record acceptable to agency automobile insurance carrier for inclusion on agency policy.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Demonstrable knowledge of sound mental health practices and procedures.
Demonstrable knowledge of therapeutic techniques used in social, group and family treatment programs.
Knowledge of and ability to address trauma related issues.
Knowledge of and ability to address substance use related issues.
Trained in or willing to be trained in crisis intervention, specifically Therapeutic Options
Demonstrable organizational skills as well as the ability to clearly and effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
Accurate and effective documentation.
Knowledge of the special needs and behavioral characteristics of individuals who are dually diagnosed with mental illness and substance use disorders.
Ability to organize, coordinate and manage admissions to the Crisis Care Center in a timely and expedient manner.
Ability to provide psychoeducation trainings/presentations (preferred).</div>

1. Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position. 
2. Maintain a case load in accordance with agency policies and procedures and licensing and contract standards. 
3. Conduct intake interviews and initial child assessments. 
4. Participate in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children. 
5. Develop, implement, and update child therapeutic plans. 
6. Provide counseling, crisis management, evaluations and other clinical functions as assigned. 
7. Record relevant clinical data and report clinical information as required. 
8. Maintain accurate and current child records and files. 
9. Provide data to support staff regarding admission/discharge of children. 
10. Facilitate continuity of services for children by the clinical department. 
11. Meet predetermined deadlines that allow for timely processing and reunification of unaccompanied alien children. 
12. Assist in discharge planning. 
13. Maintain on-call schedule for the support of children and staff. 
14. Maintain current knowledge of community resources. 
15. Communicate effectively with referral sources and providers. 
16. Participate in scheduled meetings and participate in team decisions and operations. 
17. Participate in workshops, seminars, education programs and activities that promote professional growth and development. 
18. Prepare and maintain assigned reports in accordance with agency policies and procedures and applicable licensing and contract standards. 
19. Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by position supervisor. 
20. Implement Compass Connections safety protocols including evacuating with children and other staff in case of an emergency. 
21. Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program operations. 
22. Maintain Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in Compass Connections employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, children, and community members and complying with required dress code at all times. 
Other Responsibilities: 
1. Prepare goal-oriented psychosocial diagnostic assessments, service plans and progress reports. 
2. Facilitate or co-facilitate a minimum of two children&rsquo;s groups weekly on specific topics and issues. 
3. Provide case consultations, weekly one-to-one counseling and/or crisis intervention for children, and biweekly family counseling for each family represented. 
4. Meet all pre-determined deadlines required by program supervisor and federal partners. 
5. Foster Care Programs - Support, encourage, and recruit foster parents. 
Requirements: 
1. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment. 
2. Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request. 
3. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks. 
4. Demonstrate skills in: 
a. Group, individual, and family therapy 
b. A range of treatment modalities 
5. Demonstrate the ability to: 
a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population&rsquo;s cultural and socio-economic characteristics. 
b. Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals. 
c. Provide crisis intervention according to training provided by Compass Connections when needed to maintain a safe environment. 
d. Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times. 
e. Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position. 
f. Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team. 
6. Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.
