Essential Duties:</div><ul><li><div>
Ensure that department personnel including supervisors, leads, QC&rsquo;s and technicians are performing daily quality checks to prevent OOS yarn conditions.</div></li><li><div>

Coordinate activities of Department in the absence of the Department Manager.</div></li><li><div>

Execute daily and weekly production schedule to ensure efficient product flow between twisting and heatset. To include verifying that EOL&rsquo;s are complete and disposed of in order to prevent mixed yarn potential.</div></li><li><div>
Lead reliability initiatives within the department to ensure all Heatset equipment is well maintained and operates reliably.</div></li><li><div>
Ensure accuracy of yarn identification and labeling before it exits the heatset process.</div></li><li><div>
Work with training and HR to ensure suitable cross training for the facility.</div></li><li><div>
Ensure that process changes and color changes are completed efficiently and correctly. Any out of spec conditions should be escalated to appropriate Manager.</div></li><li><div>
Assist supervisors in general problem solving to help remove obstacles on day-to-day performance.</div></li><li><div>
Assist technical engineering/cross functional teams to improve existing products and processes.</div></li><li><div>
Lead, as directed, problem solving and continuous improvement efforts to resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance challenges to prevent operational delays, eliminate bottlenecks and ensure minimal costs.</div></li><li><div>
Provide engineering support by troubleshooting issues that affect safety and quality performance.</div></li><li><div>

<div><p>The Department Manager is a key operations link between the organization, drivers, and customers. The Department Manger oversees a specific department (Feed or Live Haul) and coaches and mentors a group of experienced drivers and achieves specific customer service and key company goals. Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Responsible for the department's safety performance and awareness; spearheads and manages initiatives that drive a culture of safety first</li><li>

Skills / Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four year college or university and / or a minimum of 5 years&rsquo; experience in a leadership role with a diploma or GED certificate preferred</li><li>
Working knowledge of laboratory safety with extensive knowledge of the current suite of testing capabilities</li><li>
Ability to read and interpret test specifications, drawings, test plans and/or blueprints</li><li>
Strong computer skills with basic mathematical skills with the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus</li><li>
Ability to lift &lt;50 lbs. often and &gt; 50 lbs. on occasion and stand on feet for long periods of time</li><li>
Technical leadership is vital to the production and operation of assigned tests with advanced working knowledge to operate various testing equipment</li><li>
