<p>The State Auditor's Office is seeking a <b>Deputy General Counsel </b>whose primary purpose is to provide assistance to the General Counsel on matters related to the legal representation and legal affairs of the State Auditor's Office.</p>
<p>The State Auditor's Office is Missouri's independent watchdog agency, charged with protecting taxpayer dollars from waste, fraud, and abuse. The office works to ensure the proper use of public funds and to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Missouri government by performing audits of state agencies, boards and commissions, the circuit court system, the counties in Missouri that do not have a county auditor, and other political subdivisions upon petition by the voters. These audits examine financial accountability, waste, opportunities for fraud, and whether government organizations and programs are achieving their purposes and operating economically and efficiently. Additionally, the office reviews and registers general obligation bond issues of the state&rsquo;s political subdivisions, prepares fiscal notes for ballot initiatives, performs an Annual Forfeiture Report, and reviews property tax rates proposed by political subdivisions. The Statue Auditor's Office legal team provides all legal support necessary to assist the State Auditor in these duties, including representing the Auditor in all litigation involving the office, advising on legal questions posed by audit reports and fiscal notes for ballot initiatives, and all other legal duties as assigned. The legal team routinely will be tasked with researching novel legal questions and preparing legal briefs and other court filings. Position Summary:</b></p><p>
DCAMM is looking for an attorney to join DCAMM's Office of the General Counsel (OGC). This team member will provide the highest quality legal advice to OGC to enable it to efficiently perform its statutory functions. This position seeks an experienced commercial real estate attorney for sophisticated multi-party complex transactions, including acquisition and disposition of Commonwealth real property, permitting and licensing and the certification of eligible contractors to perform work on public projects. This enables OGC to perform a critical and active role in developing and implementing DCAMM&rsquo;s policies with respect to all real estate, construction, certification and associated actions.</p><p>

<p>The Office of the General Counsel at CUNY is a system-wide resource for legal advice and representation. The OGC provides legal counsel to the Board of Trustees, the Chancellor, and the University's 26 constituent colleges. Its services touch all operational areas of the University, and its campuses, and supports CUNY's decision makers in advancing the University's educational mission by providing expert, relevant and timely legal advice, guidance and advocacy.</p>
<p>The Assistant Deputy General Counsel of University Legal Affairs Operations serves as a strategic advisor and operational leader within the Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Legal Affairs and General Counsel. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice Chancellor for Legal Affairs and General Counsel, this individual will provide both high-level legal counsel and executive oversight of the University Legal Affairs across all twenty-six campuses and provide leadership in the areas of campus counsel legal training, legal compliance, legal resources, and legal operational functions and responsiveness.</p>
<p>This position is a key member of the office's senior leadership team, contributing to the development and execution of strategic goals, managing complex and sensitive projects, and ensuring operational excellence across the department. The incumbent will also provide legal services in a broad range of subject areas, including legal research, drafting memoranda, and advising on matters affecting the University's mission and compliance obligations. <p><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b></p>
<p>Minimum:</p>
<p>This position is in CUNY's Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience.</p>
<p><b>Notwithstanding the foregoing, all applicants for this position must possess the following qualifications:</b></p>
