 JOB DESCRIPTION
 
 
 
 Supports, implements, and follows all hospital, departmental and divisional initiatives, policies and procedures
 
 
 Helps lead and implement the organization&rsquo;s performance management system, including peer review and the productivity and utilization review processes

 Assists with scheduling and supports the Division Chief in ensuring that adequate medical coverage is provided within the Division at all times

 Assumes other administrative or clinical duties as requested by the Division Chief
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Technical
 
 
 
 Diagnoses And Treats Patients According To Established Standards Of Best Practice For The Post Holder&rsquo;s Specialty. The Consultant Physician&rsquo;s Clinical Duties Include But Are Not Limited To The Following:
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Oversees the clinical activities of the junior medical staff and is assumes responsibility for the care they provide
 </li>
 <li>
 Complies with all established hospital polices regarding admissions, consultations, daily patient care, surgical procedures, discharge protocols, outpatient and follow up practices
 </li>
 <li>
 Practices appropriate utilization of the organization&rsquo;s resources
 </li>
 <li>
 Leads ward round; reassesses both inpatients and outpatients on a regular basis, in line with established best practice
 </li>
 <li>
 Accurately documents all relevant clinical information in a clear and timely fashion in accordance with established procedures
 </li>
 <li>
 Regularly reviews results of all investigations and modifies treatment as required
 </li>
 <li>
 Liaises with other medical specialties and support services for additional input as required
 </li>
 <li>
 Actively participates in multi-disciplinary meetings to help plan effective, safe and holistic care for individual patients
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensures preparation of patients for all procedures including obtaining informed consent
 </li>
 <li>
 Accepts clinically appropriate referrals from the Emergency Department, primary care, other departments, specialty clinics, walk in patients, and patients referred from other hospitals
 </li>
 <li>
 Participates in and ensures the provision of out of hours (on call) coverage on a rotational basis including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays as required
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicates clinical information to patients and the patient&rsquo;s family and friends (with consent of the patient) in a timely manner
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintains a good working relationship with members of staff and promotes collaboration and a team-based approach to patient care
 </li>
 <li>
 Performs other clinical responsibilities as assigned

 Qualifications, Certifications and Experience

 American Board, CCT UK, Australian Board, any Western Board, Fellowship or additional certification in Dermatology/ Pediatric Dermatology

 Minimum of 5 years of post-specialization experience in Dermatology
 </li>
 <li>
 Valid DOH (Department of Health - Abu Dhabi) License or eligibility.
 </li>
