WHAT YOU'LL NEED</b></h2><div><br>

</div><p>At a minimum, the selected candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline; and an industry-recognized credential or certification related to Interior Design, such as NCIDQ certification, National Kitchen and Bath Association certification, or equivalent professional certification.</p><p>
Ability to qualify for a FSCJ Certificate applicable to the area of instructional responsibility.</p><p>
The preferred candidate will hold a Master of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline, or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with higher education teaching experience, professional interior design experience, and current knowledge of industry practices, software, codes, standards, and professional expectations. Additional preferred qualifications include prior interior design teaching or industry experience; the ability to teach hybrid courses using the Canvas LMS; proficiency with design software; and experience mentoring students as they prepare for employment.</p><p>
Possible exceptions, includes any bachelor's degree with substantial professional experience in Interior Design and a specific industry-recognized certification related to the instructional area, such as NCIDQ certification, National Kitchen and Bath Association certification, or equivalent professional certification.</p><p>

<br>Concorde Education is seeking a 3D Design Instructor to lead engaging, hands-on after-school classes for students. In this role, you’ll introduce students to 3D modeling using Tinkercad, helping them build creativity, spatial reasoning, and problem-solving skills through project-based learning.
<br>This is a short-format enrichment program designed to be interactive, fun, and accessible for beginners, while still allowing room for creativity and more advanced learners.
<br>What You’ll Teach
<br>Students will learn how to design and build 3D models using Tinkercad, including:
<br><ul>
<li>Creating, resizing, and manipulating 3D shapes</li>
<li>Aligning, grouping, and combining objects</li>
<li>Using measurements and designing with precision</li>
<li>Applying basic design thinking and prototyping concepts</li>
<li>Exporting designs (and preparing for 3D printing when applicable)</li>
</ul>
Responsibilities

<b>Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Adjunct Faculty instructors at College of DuPage are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings, courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as, face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and/or blended formats. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.

<b>Required Qualifications</b>:<br>

The ideal candidate has demonstrated professional design experience and is ready to mentor students who will be the next wave of the interior design profession. The candidate should be able to motivate students of diverse backgrounds to think creatively and critically and must have knowledge of and experience with current and emerging industry software and technologies. The modality of this instruction may be in-person or on-line/distance learning depending on the course. (Adjunct faculty can teach one to three classes per Fall and Spring Semester.)<br>
<br>
Teaching Interior Design curriculum, including classes like: CAD I and II, Virtual Reality for Interior Design, Studio level classes: Residential, Retail/Restaurant, Healthcare, Workplace, and Lighting.<br>
<ul><li>
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture and/or a combination of equivalent educational and professional industry experience is required.</li><li>
Strong skills in technical software and core competencies of interior design practice.</li><li>
Expertise in standard architectural drawing conventions.</li><li>
Knowledge of codes in the built environment.</li><li>
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex material to students unfamiliar with a subject.</li><li>
Experience with computer-aided drafting programs like Revit, SketchUp and AutoCAD; willingness and ability to stay current with industry trends in software applications is a plus.</li><li>
Demonstrated success and/or aptitude for remote, hybrid, and face-to-face instruction.</li></ul><br>

Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching preferred. Access to personal technology, home computer with appropriate ability to teach online required.<br>
