The Desktop Support Technician will be part of a team that provides a high level of technical support to students, staff and faculty and have experience in desktop service with hardware and software installation, diagnosis and repair; strong attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills with excellent written and verbal communications skills. The incubment should be customer service focused and have interpersonal skills that would enable the ability to work with the campus community in a tactful, patient and courteous manner and have demonstrated ability to work with colleagues in a higher education environment. This position will also be the technical support between Information Technology Solutions (ITS) and vendors for various hardware and software issues for campus stakeholders. The Technician must possess and apply both business and technical expertise on moderately complex aspects of various technical issues and administration of business applications, desktop hardware, point-of-sale, digital signage, smart temps, timekeeping hardware as well as any new initiatives/projects that are implemented.    Develop technical documentation for resolving issues and supporting business processes.

   Review tickets to identify trends and offer proactive solutions.
  </li>
  <li>
   Create and manage accounts in Active Directory.
  </li>
  <li>
   Manage accounts, licenses, and services in Microsoft 365.
  </li>
  <li>
   Manage mobile devices in Microsoft Intune.
  </li>
  <li>
   Deploy new workstations and software.
  </li>
  <li>
   Onboarding and offboarding of employees.
  </li>
  <li>
   Management of user hardware inventory in the CMDB.
  </li>
  <li>
   Basic understanding of operating system components, process structure, file systems, registry hives, remote access, and event logging.

   Qualifications:

   BS in MIS, CS, or related field.
  </li>
  <li>
   Minimum 3 years of experience working in a Help Desk or Desktop Support role.

  <li>
   Experience working in a regulated environment where security and audit protocols are enforced.
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience with centralized endpoint management solutions (SCCM preferred).
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience managing tasks out of an ITSM platform.
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages.
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience administering Microsoft 365 and InTune.
  </li>
  <li>
   Outstanding initiative, work ethic, and attention to detail.
  </li>
  <li>
   Able to work independently with appropriate guidance in a deadline-driven environment.
  </li>
  <li>
   Team-oriented and must possess strong integrity and professionalism.
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify problems and offer solutions.
