Responsible for NIBRS submissions, metal detector property, campus security report and maintenance of the fire and crime logs. Also responsible for maintaining Title IX Drug and Weapon Referrals and compilation and dissemination of the Security Report. Responsible for maintaining evidence and property room, interviewing witnesses and victims of crime on UAMS property. Investigates crimes committed on campus, coordinates the case files and court documents for the courts and prosecutor offices. Responsible for enforcement of traffic control, criminal laws, and parking regulations. This position is governed by the Law Enforcement Standards of Arkansas and UAMS Policies.

The California Department of Insurance (CDI) is seeking a dynamic Detective with recent experience in State service as a peace officer investigating auto, workers&rsquo; compensation, property and casualty insurance fraud and ability to generate clear and concise correspondence and investigative reports.</p><p>

Under supervision of a Supervising Fraud Investigator I, Investigators are assigned law enforcement responsibilities of various complexity and volume commensurate with their background and training from entry level to highly complex duties and casework. Investigators conduct criminal investigations of felony violations of State and Federal law relating to insurance fraud and white-collar crime. Incumbents may work alone, with a team, or as a lead criminal investigator assigned to conduct investigations of criminal enterprises and profiteering and assist in the prosecution of cases involving these groups in both State and Federal courts; and conduct investigations involving a broad range of felony violations, both State and Federal judicial systems. Applicants must possess a Basic Police Certification from the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) or the equivalent from another state. The Lateral Police Officer position is covered under the provisions of a collective bargaining agreement. The Police Department will review applications every two to three weeks and will conduct ORPAT testing along with panel, executive staff and background investigator interviews during comprehensive two (2) to three (3) day sessions. Upon completion of their probationary period on the Tactical Negotiations Team (TNT), employees will receive a pay differential of seven and one-half percent (7.5%) of their base salary.</li><li>
Employees assigned to the Detective Unit of the Investigations Section as a Detective shall receive a pay differential of seven and one half percent (7.5%) of their base salary.</li><li><div>
Employees in the bargaining unit shall accrue time off for holidays, at the rate of 9.33 hours per month, for a total of 112 hours per year.</div></li><li><div>

The following standards have been adopted by the Hillsboro Police Department as AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFIERS from a police department hiring process.<br>
Additional information related to the items listed below or otherwise discovered through subsequent investigation may also disqualify a candidate.</p><p>
1.<b> </b>Operation of a Motor Vehicle<br>
 Ability to possess a valid Oregon Driver's License. Ability to drive safely. Ability<br>
 to control a motor vehicle at high speeds. Ability to operate a motor vehicle in all<br>
 types of weather conditions.<br>
 A. Receipt of two or more moving violations within three years prior to application<br>
 may be disqualifying depending on the nature of the violations. A moving<br>
 violation for which there is a factual finding of innocence shall not be included.<br>
 B. Involvement as a driver in two or more chargeable collisions within three<br>
 years prior to date of application shall be disqualifying.<br>
 C. Conviction of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs within three<br>
 years prior to application shall be disqualifying.<br>
 D. Suspension of a driver's license once within the past three years shall be<br>
 disqualifying.<br>

2. Integrity<br>
 Refusing to yield to temptation of bribes, gratuities, payoff, etc. Refusing to tolerate<br>
 unethical or illegal conduct on the part of other law enforcement personnel. Showing<br>
 strong moral character and integrity in dealing with the public. Being honest in<br>
 dealing with the public.<br>
 A. Any material misstatement of fact or significant admission or omission during<br>
 the application or background process shall be disqualifying.<br>

3. Credibility as a Witness in a Court of Law<br>
 Ability to give testimony in a court of law without being subject to impeachment due<br>
 to his/her character for honesty or veracity or due to prior felony conviction.<br>
 A. Conviction of two or more misdemeanor offenses under Oregon Law as an<br>
 adult shall be disqualifying.<br>
 B. Conviction of any offense classified as a misdemeanor under Oregon Law while<br>
 employed as a Police Officer shall be disqualifying.<br>
 C. Commission of any act while employed as a Police Officer involving<br>
 untruthfulness, falsification of any official report or document, or theft shall be<br>
 disqualifying.<br>
 D. All male U.S. citizens and male aliens born after 1960 and residing in the United<br>
 States who are 18 through 25 years of age are REQUIRED to register with the<br>
 Selective Service. Failure to have registered is an automatic disqualifier.<br>
<br>
4. Dependability<br>
 A. Missing any scheduled appointment during the hiring process without prior<br>
 permission shall be disqualifying.<br>
 B. Having been disciplined by any employer as an adult for abuse of leave, gross<br>
 insubordination, dereliction of duty or persistent failure to follow established<br>
 policies and regulations shall be disqualifying.<br>
 C. Having been involuntarily dismissed (for reasons other than lay-off) from two or<br>
 more employers as an adult shall be disqualifying.<br>

5. Illegal Use or Possession of Drugs<br>
 The following types of illegal drug use or possession will be considered automatic<br>
 disqualification in the pre-employment selection process for police personnel,<br>

A Senior Auto Theft Investigator performs a variety of semi-complex and complex investigations of felony and misdemeanor crimes associated to auto theft, for the Office of the District Attorney. A Senior Auto Theft Investigator must possess comprehensive knowledge of civil and criminal law, law enforcement principles, procedures, techniques, statutes, and ordinances applicable in the State of Colorado. This includes updates to statutes, legislative changes, and changes to procedures for criminal case filings.</li><li>
A Senior Auto Theft Investigator must have significant experience investigating, preparing and filing complex criminal cases and must possess the ability and skillset to investigate and file a criminal case, as well as extensive knowledge of motor vehicle theft statutes, organized criminal acts, and crimes often associated to motor vehicle theft.</li><li>
A Senior Auto Theft Investigator must possess extensive investigative competence, skills and abilities to provide advanced, high-level investigation into already filed criminal cases, enhancing and strengthening these cases for prosecution.</li><li>
A Senior Auto Theft Investigator must have comprehensive experience authoring search warrants, production of records requests, and other affidavits associated with investigations. A Senior Auto Theft Investigator must have the experience and ability to find the gaps in an investigation and author the appropriate court documents to enhance said investigation where others might fall short.</li><li>
A Senior Auto Theft Investigator must have significant experience interviewing victims and witnesses and the skill set to conduct such interviews as well as the ability to build rapport and show empathy to victims and witnesses. Interviews of witnesses and / or victims involved in complex crime requires training and experience in the best approach or current practices. May travel throughout the region of the various judicial districts described above to investigate and prosecute cases involving auto theft.</li><li>
A portion of the grant funding requires training to law enforcement and prosecutors on legal standards, practices, and strategies related to the investigation and prosecution of auto theft, as well as stay updated on current laws and court rulings that may impact auto theft prosecution.</li><li>
Further duties include establishing, as necessary, the location of persons to be served through standardized procedures. Provides, on an as-needed basis, the transportation of witnesses to court appearances and in-office interviews.</li></ul></div><br>
