The Diesel Tech Recruiter is responsible for building and sustaining the diesel technician workforce across the organization. This role leads all recruiting and pipeline development efforts for technicians at every level and plays a critical role in the company&rsquo;s ability to operate, grow, and compete in a highly constrained labor market.
It is a strategic position accountable for shaping the future workforce of the business. The Diesel Tech Recruiter is responsible for building a consistent, long-term pipeline of talent, ensuring the right mix of entry-level, mid-level, and experienced technicians to support productivity, reduce downtime, and drive operational performance.
This role partners directly with Service Managers and General Managers across multiple markets, influences hiring decisions, and builds external partnerships with schools and communities to create sustainable talent pipelines. Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Service Technician to support operations at our Phoenix, AZ location. This role is a hybrid position responsible for performing intermediate-level diesel mechanical service and commercial tire repair in a fast-paced, industrial shop environment. The Diesel Service Technician plays a critical role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and operational readiness of fleet vehicles and equipment.
The ideal candidate possesses hands-on diesel service experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and working knowledge of commercial tire systems. This position requires independence, attention to detail, and the ability to execute preventative maintenance and repairs while supporting shop efficiency and operational uptime.
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Perform diesel service and intermediate-level mechanical repairs including brakes, suspension, steering components, belts, hoses, batteries, and basic drivability concerns.</li><li>
Conduct commercial tire services including mounting, dismounting, balancing, repairing, rotating, and replacing tires on diesel trucks, trailers, and applicable fleet equipment.</li><li>
Perform preventative maintenance services such as oil changes, fluid inspections, filter replacements, and multi-point vehicle inspections.</li><li>
Diagnose mechanical and tire-related issues using visual inspections, service documentation, and basic diagnostic tools.</li><li>
