Dietary Cook Job Summary: 
The Dietary Cook is responsible for preparing and providing food services to residents in a cost-efficient manner to safely meet residents’ need in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
 
Dietary Cook Major Duties and Critical Tasks: 
<ul>
<li>Prepare and serve meals for residents and staff in accordance with food safety regulations and within physician’s/nutritionists’ dietary recommendations</li>
<li>Maintain high standard of food preparation, sanitation, storage, and portion control</li>
<li>Determine food and supplies needed for daily menus; obtain supplies in time for adequate production</li>
<li>Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that quality, temperature, and appearance of food is preserved</li>
<li>Assist in scheduled cleaning duties following established sanitary standards</li>

General Purpose
