   Reports directly to the Chef and is flexible with work duties to assist in the management of food service operations.

   Assists in the orientation, training and supervision of the dietary staff.
  </li>
  <li>
   Assists with the inservice program to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  </li>

   Responsible to make sure all staff are able to appropriately use and clean dietary equipment.
  </li>

   Conducts meal rounds to aid in the supervision of meal delivery to the residents. The dietary supervisor is available to the residents and their families in regards to food preferences and suggestions. Acquaints self with the &ldquo;likes and dislikes&rdquo; of the residents.
  </li>

   Will aid in the supervision of all work areas including preparation, production, stock rooms and the dish room area. Standards of safety and sanitation will be maintained.
  </li>

   Provide input in menu planning and development.
  </li>
  <li>
   Participate in Performance Improvement by completing PI audits for Chef as assigned.
  </li>
  <li>
   Assist with inventories and stock rotation.
  </li>
  <li>
   Will assist with performance evaluations for dietary employees. He/She may also assist with disciplinary actions.
  </li>

   Will have effective communication with the dietitian/diet tech and other facility disciplines to ensure team work and quality patient care.
  </li>
  <li>
   Will have at least a high school diploma. Management and culinary experience is beneficial.
  </li>

   Will be able to fill in for any position should there be a call off.

Prepare food in accordance with posted menus and from standard recipes for residents and guests of the Community in accordance with current, applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations; as well as with established Organizational policies, procedures, guidelines, and direction to ensure quality food service.

<b>Essential Job Functions:</b><br>
