THE ROLE</b></p><p>
The Manager of Digital Communications is responsible for the strategy and implementation of StoryCorps&rsquo; digital communications. The manager will lead the development and execution of comprehensive email marketing campaigns to support organizational goals, including audience engagement, retention, and revenue growth. This role will strategize, optimize, and manage email communications across multiple platforms, ensuring alignment with brand messaging, industry best practices, and data-driven insights. This role will also oversee the maintenance and updates of webpages. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in email marketing tools, a creative approach to storytelling, and a keen eye for analytics.</p><p>
This role will report to the Director, Marketing Communications and Special Projects and will be working in close collaboration with the Development team to drive revenue growth. Additionally, this role will partner with the Integrated Marketing and Programs teams to drive awareness and engagement campaigns with StoryCorps&rsquo; core and initiative-based audiences. They will also work in close coordination with our Digital team to manage the email marketing platforms.</p><p><b>
WHAT YOU&rsquo;LL DO</b></p><p>
Email Strategy Development:</p><ul><li> Create and manage an organization-wide email marketing strategy that supports key objectives, including engagement, lead generation, and fundraising.</li><li> Partner with the Individual Giving team on email strategy and fundraising initiatives.</li><li> Develop content and audience segmentation plans to deliver personalized, impactful messaging to diverse stakeholders.</li><li> Create and manage donor and user 'journeys,' such as first-time donor and participant series, in close collaboration with the Development team. This includes understanding the donor's progression from non-donor to active donor by identifying key touchpoints across the journey stages: awareness, consideration, decision, retention, and loyalty/advocacy.</li><li> Partner with content, design, development, and marketing teams to produce cohesive, visually appealing email campaigns.</li><li> Support cross-departmental initiatives by advising on email strategies and aligning efforts with broader organizational goals.</li></ul><p>
Email Campaign Strategy and Execution:</p><ul><li> Plan, build, and execute email campaigns, including newsletters, fundraising appeals, event invitations, to an audience of approximately 330,000 and develop workflows across organizational initiatives.</li><li> Collaborate with cross-departmental stakeholders to develop campaign objectives, timelines, and creative assets.</li></ul><p>
 Email System Administration:</p><ul><li> Manage email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud), including experience with field and tag management to build and maintain audience segments, and ensuring data integration with CRM systems.</li><li> Ensure compliance with email marketing laws (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR) and maintain email deliverability best practices.</li></ul><p>
Analytics and Optimization:</p><ul><li> Experience with Google Anaytics, responsible for monitoring email campaign performance metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversions) and generate regular reports with actionable insights.</li><li> Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, layouts, and send times to improve effectiveness.</li><li> Use data to refine strategies, enhance audience engagement, and increase ROI.</li></ul><p>
Website Maintenance:</p><ul><li> Build and maintain donation pages, create homepage banners, and other digital assets to align with fundraising campaigns.</li><li> Maintain and update the existing Initiative pages to ensure they are updated, optimized, and coordinated with initiative messaging and calls-to-action.</li><li> Create Initiative web pages as needed, including conversation landing pages for each new monthly audio card for One Small Step.</li></ul><p>
Innovation and Trends:</p><ul><li> Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in email marketing and customer engagement.</li><li> Recommend and implement new tools, techniques, and formats to enhance email marketing efforts.</li></ul><p><b>
ABOUT YOU</b></p><p><b>

The role works closely with the Regional Leadership Team and Global Communications to deliver consistent, engaging, and business-relevant regional communications that strengthen RHIM&rsquo;s reputation, culture visibility, and stakeholder engagement.</p>

Key responsibility areas includ</b><b>e</b><b>:</b></p>

<li><b>Content Management: </b>Collaborate cross-functionally to plan, develop, and produce high-quality internal and external communication materials, including leadership presentations, executive messages, employee and customer newsletters, email campaigns, videos, posters, banners, social media graphics, and animations. Support storytelling that highlights customer projects, innovation, sustainability, partnerships, and people initiatives across the region.</li>
<li><b>Digital Channel Management</b>: Manage the regional social media content calendar, support digital campaign ideation and execution, and track performance metrics. Oversee employee app content and analytics to enhance internal communication effectiveness and support external brand visibility and engagement.</li>
<li><b>Event and Exhibitions management</b>: Plan and execute internal and external events, trade fairs, and exhibitions across the region. Partner with Sales and business teams to support customer engagement, regional promotion activities, and project visibility.</li>
<li><b>Media &amp; Public Relations</b>: Work closely with the Regional President and key stakeholders to support media engagement, industry participation, and public relations initiatives that strengthen RHIM&rsquo;s regional reputation and thought leadership presence.</li>
<li><b>Global collaboration:</b> Coordinate with Global and regional communications teams to localize global initiatives and scale regional communication activities across markets, ensuring consistent brand positioning.</li>

Must-Have Skills &amp; Experience:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Hands-on experience of end-to-end management of trade fairs participation and internal and external event management.</li>
<li>Experience of media relations and PR in the Middle East region particularly.
</li><li>Basic design &amp; editing skills using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar etc.</li>
<li>Experience with paid social and search ads (Meta, LinkedIn, Google)</li>
<li>Working knowledge of web and social media management tools<b> </b>like Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Google Analytics etc. And basic knowledge of CRM tools like MS Dynamics will be an advantage.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of using AI tools like ChatGPT, MS Copilot etc. for professional purposes.</li></ul><br>

Behavioral and Educational:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Minimum graduate in any discipline with 5-7 years of experience in agency or corporate.</li>
<li>Certifications in digital / social media marketing, public relations, designing and editing software, Gen AI tools etc. would be clear advantage.</li>
<li>Fluent in English, working knowledge of Arabic and/or Turkish will be preferred.
