</div><p>POSITION OBJECTIVE</p><p>
The Kelvin Smith Library (KSL) of Case Western Reserve University seeks an enthusiastic, innovative, and collaborative individual to serve as the Technology &amp; Digital Strategies Librarian (TDSL). Reporting to the Associate University Librarian for Creation &amp; Curation services, the TDSL coordinates library technology and digital strategies to include the catalog and discovery systems, storage, desktop support, and related infrastructure. The TDSL serves as a library liaison to the University's central IT department (UTech) to provide a single point of contact and oversees the work of two UTech personnel who support the work of this position. The TDSL works with all CWRU libraries and affiliated libraries to ensure catalog and discovery system services as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p><ul><li>
Provide direction, support, and training for all aspects of the Library Services Platform (Ex Libris Product Suite) for CWRU campus and affiliate libraries. Utilize a significant level of expertise within library technology and digital systems; maintain knowledge about emerging trends and techniques for these technologies and systems. (35%)</li><li>
Serve as the Library's liaison to UTech for the purchase, implementation, and support of all technology and digital storage solutions, including administrative, public, and lab computing. Manage a dedicated technology budget and approve technology purchases. Supervise two UTech personnel assigned to support Kelvin Smith Library technology operations. Collaboratively establish prioritization of work and communicate performance results with UTech supervisors. (20%)</li><li>
Provide leadership for the planning and development of technology strategies across the array of library and IT platforms that support our mission. (13%)</li><li>
Test, troubleshoot, and resolve problems related to library systems, working with managers and staff across the libraries. Assist staff in the libraries with questions and problems related to system functionality (7%)

QUALIFICATONS</p><p>
Librarian level: Appointment to the level of Librarian 3 assumes that all requirements of the level will be met and sustained, that the individual will demonstrate continued and outstanding growth in the profession, and perform existing duties and responsibilities at the highest level. The Reynolds Libraries seeks an innovative and tech-savvy Lead Digital Services Librarian to guide our digital initiatives and elevate our online presence. The Lead Digital Services Librarian will coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure continued access to subscribed electronic resources with the overall goal of guiding the Libraries&rsquo; online presence and digital resources. Primary responsibilities of this position will be managing and troubleshooting the library&rsquo;s digital resources and services including: managing and maintaining an engaging and intuitive library website for a diverse user community; researching, developing and implementing emerging technologies to enhance library services; managing the library databases; and updating electronic resource records in the integrated library system (ILS). Engaging online learners in information literacy is another important focus of this position. As a member of the library&rsquo;s full-time professional faculty, these duties are an expectation of the job: reference, instruction, collection development, including selection and deselection, liaison duties, shared branch management and supervision of part-time professional librarians.</div>

SMU Libraries seeks a collaborative and forward-thinking AI &amp; Digital Research Librarian to lead and expand support for artificial intelligence-enabled research and digital scholarship initiatives. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in partnership with faculty, students, and campus colleagues and thrives in the iterative nature of the research process, where exploration, experimentation, and refinement are essential to discovery.</p><p>
This position is situated within the Research &amp; Digital Strategy unit of SMU Libraries, which brings together the Norwick Center for Digital Solutions (nCDS) and the Research &amp; Scholarly Initiatives (RSI) team to support AI-enabled and digitally driven research. The unit collaborates with faculty, students, and staff on artificial intelligence and machine learning, research data management, open access publishing, scholarly repositories, and digital scholarship, while connecting researchers with SMU Libraries&rsquo; distinctive special collections through digitization and digital preservation to advance innovative, technology-informed research.</p><p>
Building on the success of SMU Libraries&rsquo; 2025-2026 AI for Research cohorts of faculty and graduate students, this position will support new and ongoing projects that incorporate AI to advance innovative solutions in research and teaching.
