<div><p>The Digital Content Producer is responsible for producing, publishing, and managing timely, accurate, and engaging content across the station's digital platforms, including the website, social media channels, mobile apps, YouTube, and email communications.
</p><p>This role actively monitors breaking news, gathers information from official sources, and creates digital-first content that keeps audiences informed in real time. The Digital Content Producer collaborates with News, Sales, Promotions, and Station Management to ensure consistent messaging, audience engagement, and strong digital storytelling while maintaining journalistic integrity and brand standards.
</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities
</b></p><ul><li>Write, edit, and publish news stories and multimedia content for the station website and digital platforms.
</li><li>Manage and maintain all station social media platforms, including posting content, monitoring engagement, and responding to audience interaction when appropriate.
</li><li>Monitor breaking news and developing stories, gathering information from official sources and public officials when necessary.
</li><li>Conduct phone calls and outreach to law enforcement, public information officers, and other officials to confirm details and obtain updates on developing stories.
</li><li>Create and publish digital-first content across multiple platforms, including social media, YouTube, mobile apps, and newsletters.
</li><li>Review and edit reporter scripts, video, and multimedia assets for digital publication, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to journalistic standards.
</li><li>Update digital platforms throughout the day with breaking news, live updates, and timely information to keep audiences informed.
</li><li>Coordinate and execute digital promotions and contests in partnership with Sales, News, and Promotions teams.
</li><li>Maintain consistent brand voice and visual standards across all digital platforms.
</li><li>Track digital engagement and content performance metrics as directed by management.
</li><li>Communicate closely with newsroom staff and management to support daily news coverage and digital initiatives.
</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by management.
</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications
</b></p>Bachelor<ul><li>'s degree in Journalism, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
</li><li>Experience in digital journalism, news production, or multimedia content creation preferred.
</li><li>Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with exceptional attention to detail.
</li><li>Experience managing social media platforms and creating platform-specific content.
</li><li>Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), social media tools, and basic video editing.
</li><li>Ability to work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven news environment.
</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to journalistic ethics, accuracy, and responsible reporting.
</li></ul><p><b>Physical Requirements / ADA Compliance
</b></p><ul><li>Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer.
</li><li>Capable of occasional lifting or moving of light equipment (up to 20 lbs).
</li><li>Visual acuity sufficient to work with computer screens and multimedia content.
</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as news coverage requires.
