Position Summary
Reporting to the Systems &amp; Innovation Lead, the Content &amp; Engagement &ndash; Project Employee supports the league&rsquo;s transparency and communication objectives by developing, organizing, and distributing digital content related to officiating. This role focuses on ensuring the delivery of multimedia materials for internal and external stakeholders, managing approval workflows, and engaging appropriately with fans and media on social platforms to clarify officiating processes and highlight key educational messages.
This is a temporary position with an expected duration not to exceed (10) months
Major Responsibilities
<ul><li>Develop a comprehensive content strategy for the referee operations department.
</li><li>Partner with the NBA&rsquo;s Content, Communications, Broadcast, Video, and Referee Operations teams, as well as the National Basketball Referee Association on external messaging strategy to support officiating.

QUALIFICATIONS
This position is in CUNY&rsquo;s Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a bachelor&rsquo;s degree and eight years&rsquo; of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
<ul><li><div>Master's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public affairs, design, or related field.</div></li>
<li><div>
8+ years of progressive leadership in marketing, communications, or digital strategy in higher education or a similarly complex organization.</div></li>
<li><div>
Demonstrated success leading enterprise-level digital initiatives (website rebuilds, design systems, content governance, analytics) and brand programs with measurable outcomes.</div></li>
<li><div>
Strong track record building and managing cross-functional teams, agencies, and vendor portfolios.</div></li>
<li><div>
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive advisory skills.</div></li>
<li><div>
Experience overseeing large-scale website redesigns and digital governance within complex organizations.</div></li>
<li><div>
Proficiency with web analytics/SEO, content operations, UX research methods, and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).</div></li>
<li><div>
Depth in media relations and issues/crisis communications.</div></li>
<li><div>

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary Range: $175,000 - $195,000. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
