 CBS News&rsquo; Growth &amp; Engagement team is hiring a digital producer! This role is responsible for producing and clipping videos for YouTube and CBSNews.com, writing articles, sending push alerts and reacting to breaking news across platforms.
 
 
 The ideal candidate is a skilled video content creator who's comfortable making quick turn-around videos, pitching creative story ideas and meeting deadlines. They should have strong editorial judgment and feel comfortable making real-time decisions, coordinating across departments when needed. They should also have a knack for compelling, SEO-friendly headlines.
 
 
 The hours for this role are Tuesday-Saturday from 7am-3pm ET, and candidates can work out of New York City or Los Angeles. You will be expected to work some holidays and shift your schedule as needed.

As a Producer, you&rsquo;ll be on the front lines of that work&mdash;building, scheduling, and optimizing SMS campaigns that power Democratic fundraising, programs at scale. This is an entry-level role designed for someone who is curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn the mechanics of digital campaigning from the inside of a fast-growing political technology company.

What You&rsquo;ll Do</h1>
Your day-to-day will vary with the political calendar, but here&rsquo;s what the core of the role looks like:<ul><li>
Build, schedule, and deploy peer-to-peer (P2P) and broadcast SMS/MMS campaigns using the Bluebird platform, ensuring every send is accurate, on time, and on message.</li><li>
Monitor campaign performance in real time&mdash;tracking delivery rates, click-through rates, and fundraising returns&mdash;and surface insights to your team leads.</li><li>
Run A/B tests on messaging, creative, and targeting segments, then analyze results to inform what scales next.</li><li>
Generate and manage shortlinks, verify redirect chains, and proofread scripts for accuracy before every campaign launch.</li><li>

Proficiency with spreadsheet tools (Google Sheets or Excel)&mdash;you&rsquo;re comfortable with formulas, pivot tables, and organizing data clearly.</li><li>
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. In texting production, a misplaced decimal or broken link is a real problem.</li><li>
Comfort learning new software platforms quickly. You&rsquo;ll be trained on Bluebird&rsquo;s proprietary tools, and curiosity is more important than prior experience with any specific platform.</li><li>
Clear written communication skills&mdash;you&rsquo;ll be drafting client-facing performance summaries and internal updates regularly.</li><li>

Schedule &amp; Work Environment</h1>
This is a Wednesday through Sunday role, but political work follows the political calendar. During peak periods&mdash;elections, end-of-quarter fundraising pushes, and year-end campaigns&mdash;some evening and off day work will be required. During the first 30 days of initial training, team members will work Monday through Friday to maximize collaboration with their manager
