The video producer will collaborate closely with the Unexplainable team to make a stand-out weekly video podcast. This is an exciting opportunity to help us develop a new visual identity for our audience. You&rsquo;ll help develop the visual identity of the show, and be responsible for assembling, refining, and packaging each episode in Premiere.

</div><div>Our marketing department operates more like an internal agency than a traditional home-services team. We manage paid media, creative production, websites, automation, and brand development across a growing multi-location franchise network.<br>
</div><div>We are looking for a Video Producer &amp; Editor to help us create better, faster, more effective video content across paid advertising, brand storytelling, recruiting, social media, and franchise marketing.<br>
</div><div><b>Position Summary</b><br>
The Video Producer &amp; Editor will be responsible for planning, capturing, editing, and delivering high-quality video content that supports lead generation, brand growth, and internal marketing needs across the Honest Abe network.<br>
</div><div>This is not just a video editing role. We are looking for someone who can think creatively, move quickly, stay organized, and help raise the overall quality and consistency of our video output. The ideal candidate understands how to create content that feels polished, modern, and built for marketing performance across digital channels.<br>
</div><div>This role will work closely with leadership, design, paid media, content, and local franchise teams to produce video assets that build trust, generate attention, and support conversion.<br>
</div><div><b>What You&rsquo;ll Do</b><br>
</div><div><b>Video Production &amp; Editing</b></div>
<ul><li>Shoot and edit video content for marketing campaigns, social media, brand storytelling, recruiting, internal communications, and franchise support</li>
<li>Create both short-form and long-form video assets for paid ads, organic social, websites, email campaigns, and sales support</li>
<li>Edit footage into polished, on-brand content with strong pacing, clean graphics, clear messaging, and platform-appropriate formatting</li>
<li>Manage raw footage, file organization, version control, and asset delivery</li>
</ul><div><b>Paid Media &amp; Performance Creative</b></div>
<ul><li>Produce video ads and motion-based creative for Meta, YouTube, and other digital channels</li>
<li>Work closely with the paid media team to test hooks, offers, messaging, and creative angles</li>
<li>Create multiple cuts, formats, and variations to support campaign testing and optimization</li>
</ul><div><b>Brand Storytelling</b></div>
<ul><li>Capture and edit testimonial videos, project highlight videos, behind-the-scenes content, team culture content, and market-specific stories</li>
<li>Help develop video concepts that make the brand feel more trustworthy, modern, and premium</li>
<li>Support executive messaging and higher-level brand storytelling when needed</li>
</ul><div><b>Field &amp; Franchise Content</b></div>
<ul><li>Travel as needed to capture jobsite content, customer stories, office footage, team culture, events, and local market assets</li>
<li>Coordinate with franchise teams to plan useful content shoots that can support both local and brand-wide marketing</li>
<li>Help standardize content capture workflows so footage is more usable and repeatable</li>
</ul><div><b>Collaboration &amp; Creative Execution</b></div>
<ul><li>Work closely with the Senior Brand Designer, content/social team, and leadership to ensure strong creative consistency</li>
<li>Add motion graphics, light animation, captions, text overlays, music, and transitions as needed</li>
<li>Help shape content ideas, shot lists, and production plans before filming</li>
</ul><div><b>Workflow &amp; Production Management</b></div>
<ul><li>Keep projects moving on time and communicate clearly about timelines, footage needs, and deliverables</li>
<li>Maintain organized project files, editing templates, exports, and archive systems</li>
<li>Help improve video production systems, templates, and turnaround speed</li>
</ul><div><b>What You Bring</b></div>
<ul><li>3+ years of professional video production and editing experience</li>
<li>Strong portfolio showing both video shooting and editing work</li>
<li>Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects</li>
<li>Strong understanding of framing, lighting, audio, pacing, and storytelling</li>
<li>Experience creating content for social media, digital marketing, and paid advertising</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without sacrificing quality</li>

Video Producer & Editor

<div><div><p>The Vox Media Podcast Network is seeking an experienced Supervising Producer to lead &ldquo;A Touch More&rdquo; and &ldquo;Bird&rsquo;s Eye View,&rdquo; two weekly flagship women&rsquo;s sports and lifestyle podcasts. This role will oversee production teams and collaborate with host talent to maintain the shows&rsquo; high editorial quality, and pursue innovation. You will act as both a creative developer and as a showrunner, ensuring production excellence while also serving as a key liaison for advertising partnerships and live events.</p>
<p>
The ideal candidate has experience building standout digital video shows, has deep sports knowledge (particularly women&rsquo;s sports), understands how to build brands around talent, is an ardent consumer of online creator content, and knows how to develop programming strategies tailored for YouTube, podcasts, and other digital-first platforms. Prior hands-on experience in technical audio and video production is preferred, as you'll be expected to provide detailed creative and technical feedback to support production teams in executing programmatically compelling and visually dynamic shows.</p>

As the strategic lead across both shows, the Supervising Producer will create editorial and operational synergies while building on each show's unique value proposition and furthering their reach with target audiences.</p>

WHAT YOU&rsquo;LL DO</b></h2>
<ul><li><b>Creative &amp; Editorial Leadership:</b> Lead talent meetings with a strategic, big-picture lens around weekly topic generation, overseeing the creation of show outlines and scripts to ensure content remains fresh, relevant, and engaging.</li>
<li><b>Talent &amp; Booking Management:</b> Provide strategic input on guest bookings; scout and cultivate host talent in key categories (sports, lifestyle, culture), evaluating for original perspectives and charismatic presence. Coordinate bookings across both shows to ensure diversity of weekly topics and guests and distinguishing different show propositions</li>
<li><b>Live Programming Coordination:</b> Serve as the live programming lead from an editorial and podcast production standpoint, collaborating with internal and external teams to execute sponsorships and live events.</li>
<li><b>Production Oversight:</b> Supervise show teams, providing oversight on scripting, creative feedback, and troubleshooting executional challenges; assembling rough episode assemblies via text-based editing platforms as needed.</li>
<li><b>Quality Control:</b> Act as a creative lead and quality steward for audio/video productions across platforms (YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Instagram/TikTok).</li>
<li><b>Cross-Functional Collaboration:</b> Collaborate closely with talent management, marketing, and sales teams to align programming with broader company goals.</li>

<ul><li><b>Digital Success:</b> A proven track record of launching and producing successful shows on platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or podcast networks. You have deep familiarity with the podcast landscape, and how podcast strategy differs from other visual-first formats.</li>
<li><b>Social Media Strategy:</b> A broad, current understanding of platform-specific best practices (e.g., TikTok hook rates, YouTube thumbnail strategy, Instagram Reels trends) and an appreciation of what drives engagement in a manner that is true to brand</li>
<li><b>Talent Experience:</b> High-level experience working directly with influencers, creators, or talent management teams to build scalable, personality-driven IP.</li>
<li><b>Sports Background: </b>Strong familiarity with collegiate and professional women&rsquo;s sports leagues (especially WNBA and NWSL) and the big storylines around the intersection of sports and culture &ndash; specific fandoms appreciated but not required</li>
<li><b>Production Fluency:</b> Strong creative instincts combined with technical production fluency&mdash;you&rsquo;ve been in the weeds of audio/video production and understand how to coordinate with teams on lighting/set pieces, editing, and post-production. You have an understanding of many different types of production set-ups, from multi-cam studio to live event and remote recordings.</li>
<li><b>Tech Stack:</b> Familiarity with, if not hands-on experience with, video post-production apps (Adobe Creative Cloud &ndash; Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop), audio apps (ProTools / Audition), and recording/editing software (Descript, Riverside)</li>
<li><b>Soft Skills:</b> Exceptional communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.</li>
<li><b>Editorial Judgment:</b> Strong editorial judgment and the ability to balance brand tone, platform expectations, and audience needs.</li>
